Omar Jacobs going pro

I heard the hype so i caught a few of his games this year....he was horrible against bad competition. totally unimpressed. wouldn't sign him as a undrafted FA

Did you see him light up Wisconsin in 2005 or OU in 2004? There's not a player on the team besides him worth drafting. He must have done something right.

I take Jacobs in the 2nd round and i don't even think twice about it.

He's projected as a 2nd rounder at this point, and I don't think BP will go there that early in the draft...He doesn't have time to put up with the Start Omar threads and screams from the fans..

Putting in as a rookie would be better than Henson and Romo.

That doesn't sound like a good idea for him. He could really use all the work in college he can before going on to the NFL.

As a rookie, an NFL qb coach could help with his mechanics, reads and anything else he needs full time. In college, you're only a part time football player.

this year he was injured most of the year. Check out his 2004 stats though:
4002 yards, 66.9% completions, 41 TDS!! and only 4 INTS!!! that is freakin amazing. I dont care what kind of competition he is playing, his team around him isnt good, and he still can have a 10:1 TD:INT ratio even though he threw for 4000+ yards. that is just sick.

He is a great decision maker, great size, great arm, and he can rush when he has to. I would love to get him in the 2nd. If he could have came out after 2004 season he would be a top 10 pick.

Bottom line Omar Jacobs is a better Pro prospect than either Henson or Romo.
