On another note-blitz worked well

It has been a long time since the Cowboys had two great linebacker blitzes in the same game. Carter got a quick clean sack and if he hadn't been tackled Lee would have had the sack Ware got. I had almost grown used to the Cowboys defense exercising futility by blitzing linebackers into blockers instead of gaps.

I like it because it worked.

They need to work on the timing of DB blitzes though. The last two weeks Eli and Smith could see them coming from a mile away because of how early Scandrick was tipping his hand.

And when they start anticipating the linebackers Monte will bring a corner off the edge. He was a very good hire. Even on a blitz that didn't get a sack we had the dump off guy blanketed for a minimal gain. I thought wow that's what other teams always do to us.

Having athletes at LB makes a big difference too. Everything is going to work better with Lee/Carter than with James/Brooking lol
