I only caught part of Fisher sports talk this morning on the radio.

He usually has some decent trivia.

Maybe some here can add to what he said, but here are two things:

1) McFadden is already taking the 2nd team reps.
Read into that what you want, but he said it's not out of the question that Morris get s a healthy scratch this week or next.

2) Unless the NFL pulls the plug, Gregory could be practicing 1st thing next week.

Anything else?

Morris has been mostly unimpressive. I am not surprised Mcfadden is getting no 2 reps.

I don't know what to think about Gregory. I can't imagine him making an impact even if he ends up playing after missing so much time at a key point in development.

I hope Randy gets out there but I doubt he sees the field this season or next.

I don't understand the criticism of Morris. he hasn't been in the game that much to establish any rhythm but when he's in the game, he's usually making positive yardage.

The Cowboys need to use their backs better. If you're going to give Zeke a rest, give him a rest. Let Morris stay in a few series. Then if you're going to put Zeke back in, let him stay in.

This rotating every series doesn't allow any back to get fully adjusted to the game except for one with other-worldly talent like Zeke.

I think McFadden will do more with less touches and he'll be better on 3rd downs than Dunbar.

I'm tired of watching teams blitz us because Dunbar is in the game.

Rushing the passer isn't rocket science, especially when you're a speed rusher.
Gregory needs to knock the rust off in order to actually play DE, but as a situational speed rusher from the outside or as a blitzing LB, he can contribute right away on key 3rd down passing situations. If he gets 6-7 plays per game, that's contributing.

If RG Weed is able to start practicing, I think he will see plenty of snaps especially in the Eagles game if it doesnt mean anything. Dunbar hasnt looked like the same player since he came back. So I could see McFadden coming in for him and Dunbar being the healthy scratch. (Although I'm not convinced Dunbar is completely Healthy)

I really wont take our running game serious until Dunbar is gone, i think we can use that roster spot for other purposes or a better blocking rb. I dont care whicih but this team needs to trum more fat and bring in guys who can do the jobs

im tired of spots going to guys just to fill the slot

McFadden offers pass catching and speed.

I like Alf, but he's limited as a 2 down back and we'll Zeke is superior in that regard

I do not know how much Gregory could help this year, but if he is good to go from here on out, adding him and Smith to this defense next year will be like adding two high first round players before the draft even starts, its hard not to get excited about that.

Exactly.

Morris needs the time to get in a groove. He probably gets very little in practice to boot.

Not NEAR enough playing time to speculate, IMO.

For all we know, the healthy scratch "this week or next" may be Dunbar, and not Morris.
Fisher did say he was purely speculating.
But, but, Dunbar is so needed on special teams......who do you replace his 10 yard returns with?

Except for this little fun-filled fact..............we don't even know if they can play at this level......IF AT ALL.

That's absolutely true, but its also true for any draft pick. I do think the first round talent is there.

But....Gregory faces another year of suspension and Jaylon may have a career ending injury.

Those are not true for any draft pick.

I do dig your enthusiasm. Don't let me take that from ya. ;)

Yep. My statement is based on the power of positive thinking. Hopefully, the reports of Gregory facing another year are false and Jaylon's knee is completely healthy and he becomes our Ray Lewis. You never know!
