Yes, it is "sexy" from a talent standpoint, but not from the average fan standpoint...

It would NOT be a sexy signing for the masses...

im almost positive its going to be leonard davis on day 1, then from there well take our time looking at a back up QB and secondary help. I also think that Polk from SD is going to be coming our way too.

I predict Davis as well at RG. I don't think we are going to open the bank for the other guys because of what happened with Rivera.

The problem with Rivera was that he was older and as such an injury risk. It bit us in the butt.

The offensive linemen out this year are all 5 years younger than Rivera was when we signed him. They will be entering their prime while rivera was at the tail end of his.

Thanks for the info about the pedigree of Eric Steinbach...

Pedigrees often do mount up, especially when they are added together such as along an offensive line...

I would be happy with the acquisition of Steeinbach, Leonard Davis, and also Kris Dielman. I think I like the addition of Davis the best. As was stated, I like the prospect of forcing issues in the running game, especially when backed by a quality passing game...LOL.

I also like the prospect of both Ramsey and Harrington at the #2 QB position...

Additionally, there is quite a list of players that could be added to the secondary:

CB Nate Clement
CB Rod Hood
CB Nick Harper
CB Drew Bly
CB Shawn Springs
S Mike Doss
S Deon Grant
S Ken Hamlin
S Lance Schulters
S Michael Lewis

I kind of like adding Lewis to the Cowboy's mix in the secondary. It would have to help within the NFC East. Kind of like bringing in a ringer...and I do think that he would carry a chip. He is a very dedicated team player, and would add further 'guidance' to the unit...he and Aaron Glenn would have to be a very positive thing for this group....

You don't build a team by signing other team's rejects... Now, there are a few gems in the process but not that many...

YES... I like Adalius Thomas... a LOT...

Realistically we won't sign him... it really doesn't make sense for us...

Now... signing a player like Eric Steinbach does...

It ain't sexy, but it is solid... much like most of your wives...
