In OT when the Eagles had the ball (Hypothetically speaking) if the Cowboys were in the same position with the ball just shy of midfield, do you think Garrett goes for it, or does he punt it to play the field position game? I saw quite a few folks who thought he would have punted, but I think he would have went for it, seeing as how he went for it on the first drive of the game which ended in a TD. What say you?

Garrett has no spine. He definitely would've punted. Even he goes for it we probably do that stupid same formation as the 3rd against Seattle. Heavy set with only one wide reciever and the Eagles will stack the line and stop us.

Punt. It was dumb because if we stop them there we basically win the game.

It was a huge gamble for sure. I don't think Chip trusted his defense at that point.

Most teams would punt, but Kelly rightfully saw that they could easily pick up a yard when 8-10 yard runs were the norm the second half.

Maybe, based on the desperate position our team's in, he might have.

He would've went for it. We were 2-5 yesterday. He coached like it. He had nothing to lose. He would've went for it though i'm not sure if he should've with the way the defense was playing but he showed earlier in the game the state we were in.

It was almost a no-brainer for Chip. Cowboys weren't going to stop the run.

Well, he did go for a 4th and 6 in a playoff against Detroit. Its amazing how much easier decisions like that are when QB1 is in the huddle.

In that game, the way it evolved, he would have went for it.

Let's try to be unbiased here.

Chip went for it on 4th down because their running game was killing us in the 2nd half.

The decision to go for it or not is based on individual circumstances at each opportunity. It's not on whether the coach has enough "guts."

I think he punts. But those calling him cowardly forget the long 4th down he went for in the Detroit playoff game.

How about not going for it against the Patriots the ONE time we managed to get in scoring territory?

We were losing at the time. No way he goes for it with the game tied in overtime.

Garrett went for it on 4th and 1 last night in the first quarter at the Eagles 9 instead of kicking the FG. McFadden got the first down with a 2 yard run to the 7, then 3 plays later after an incomplete and another McFadden 2 yard run, Cassel threw a 5 yard TD pass to Beasley.

didn't he go for a 4th & 6 vs Detroit in the playoffs? didn't he go for it on 4th in this game? Difference is: last season, we would've stuffed them on 4th&1! Crowd would've been going nuts, and they would've stuffed them. They've lost the magic they had last season.

In OT, Crawford was blocked about 6 yards off the ball on one of their runs(1st&15?). This guy was a man among boys last season, what has happened? Never thought I'd see him getting punked like that!

Garrett routinely punts when we are between the 40s and the stats say you should go for it. I expect that he would have punted there, just like he punted early against Seattle when Dallas had a 4th and 1 and an opportunity to seize early control of that game.
