On the bright side ... I saw a screen, I think

Finally, the Cowboys called a screen pass. It was the last play where Felix Jones tripped over his own feet but managed to hold on to the ball. But, it was a screen pass nevertheless.

All that talk last year about being able to run screens now that the OL are more agile, all that practice last year, was nothing but a tease. However, this year, through two games, Garrett and co. have called one screen pass (or was there a futile attempt during the NYG game I seem to vaguely remember?).

The Garrett-led Cowboys call screen passes about as often as other teams call trick plays.

in preseason we ran alot of screens and etc but it seems we never use them in the regular season.

Garrett doesn't seem to like the screen game or short passes in general. We hardly ever run a hitch route with our WR's or slants. We worked the Giants bunch with slants, but in 2011 we hardly ran any. The Seattle game, Garrett didn't call many plays with it either.

It's the single hardest route for a CB to stop, and we never use it.

That is the play that Miles/Dez should be lethal on.
