I am still pretty miffed about how Yesterday went. I just don't understand the thought process involved. I can't believe Dallas couldn't find a player worth taking or couldn't find a player worth moving up a couple of spots for.
I could have sworn I heard Jerry say that there were a couple of players picked a few spots ahead who, if they had fallen, would have given Dallas " business at that spot".
So I don't know why they didn't bump up a few and take a guy. Why bend over and take a trade for a 3rd and 4th when the trade chart says that the team lost the equivalent of a 4th in points?

The team got shorted a high 4th round pick on the deal. There isn't a player rated high enough to take at 51 so the team takes the short end of the stick to move down?
So the team got an extra pick. Big whoop. Plenty of people have claimed that it was a good year not to have a 1st rounder and that the Roy trade looks even better now because of the weak draft. At the same time its somehow a good year to have a lot of 2nd day picks?
Crappy year to have a shot at the top talent but great year to have multiple shots at the bottom of the barrel?
Doesn't make sense to me but whatever.
The good news is, Dallas can gamble and pick one of those "workout warriors" or whatever and not lose sleep over possibly missing on the pick. The team has plenty of picks so they can take some high risk talent in hopes of a big return. Screw it, take that dude that plays almost every position and never look back.
Take a chance on some small school guys and see what comes of it.
If there is one thing that has come of this uneventful day, its the fact that Dallas can now take a chance or two and hope that one of them works out.
At least one thing is for sure, Sunday is going to be much more interesting than Saturday.
