1. We're 2-0, almost sure to go 3-0 this coming Sunday, which gives us a great chance, statistically, of making the playoffs.
2. Our young QB appears to have taken a massive step forward and is playing at an elite level that only 1 or 2 other QBs in the league are matching.
3. We have weapons all over the place, to the point that losing a guy like Gallup for a few weeks is disappointing but the disappointment is offset by getting the chance to see a bit more of our other promising young WRs like Smith and Wilson.
4. Our rookie OC has lived up to the billing so far by injecting creativity and big play potential into the offense.
5. The defense hasn't hit its stride yet but we're still getting off the field (holding opponents to a very low 3rd down conversion rate) and keeping the opposition from scoring. The pass rush has been a bit disappointing but it's about to get a big boost with the addition of Robert Quinn, who led the league last season in beating his man.
Feel free to add anything I've omitted. In the circumstances, all the whining about our only 1st round bust in the past 6 years seems more than 'glass half empty'. We've got people with their panties in a bunch because there's a sip that's been taken from our otherwise overflowing cup.
