The last 2 weeks of preseason and then week 1 and 2 away. Anyone think the team will be impacted with all the back and forth travel?

@Minn
@Miami
@NYJ
@SF

Note: They have 4 days of rest between Minn and Miami. They have 9 days rest between Miami and NYJ but so does the majority of the league.

I don't think the impact will be as big as you're imagining. The starters won't be playing too much in the last two pre-season games, I imagine. That will give them a little extra rest. With the second game being 49ers, atleast we get an easy road opponent in the beginning. I could see us winning against the Jets as well.

I'm really pissed off about having the first two games on the road and again not having the season opener at home AGAIN! We haven't had one since 07 and I believe have had only 3 in the last 10 years. I would love to know if any other team can claim either of those. I was really hoping to go to a game this year as I will be in Dallas, Sept. 16th weekend but we will be in San Fran that weekend. Hopefully next year we get a opener at home.

On top of that, it seems we regularly get stuck with the early bye. Once again we are getting screwed over when it comes to the early part of our schedule. I'm tired of it already.

We also get the added benefit of 10 days off after Thanksgiving. I think it works out for us in the end.

Maybe so but I always look at the long week after Thanksgiving as balancing out the short week prior to Thanksgiving. But this is probably why we consistently get stuck with the early bye. So I guess it's just how you look at it.

Well, atleast the BYE is right before the Pats. That'll be one of the TOUGHEST games on our schedule, imo.

The starters won't play in the last preseason game, and probably won't even practice hard that week.

Besides, everyone's last preseason game is on that schedule to give them rest before the first real game.

Ryan, man no team is easy when playing the Dallas Cowboys.

Also the starters will have very few if any snaps in that last preseason game. So we just really have just two straigth weeks of on the road.

I think it will be fine. I just hate it that we start and finish on the road.

That is a good thing, but as the NFL plays more and more Thursday night games more and more teams are getting that same advantage throughout the year.

I've wondered about that. I think being "America's Team" can be real disadvantage sometimes. You always hear how it's hard to repeat as SB champions because everyone is going to give the champs their best shot the following year. I think the same applies to the Cowboys -- simply because of the name, the popularity, the value of the franchise, the stadium, etc. every team gets up to play us.
