i was listening to the fan 105.3 and caught tail end of it, but a reporter was saying after the eagle game i think, with discussion with tim calishaw with dallas morningnews that romo said, a light has gone on in his head, and he is figuring out what the cowboys want him to do on offense and reading defenses etc.

this points also to the theory that i said about romo needing to get to about his 50th game start, with experience, recognizing defenses, working on routes, timing with wrs, that romo would step up like most QBs do with their 50th to 61st start.

on espn nfl live today they were breaking down the eagles blitzes where romo was recognizing where the eagles defenders were blitzing from and romo burning the eagles defense.

i think this team is growing and maturing now, like i wrote about what jay ratliff said to wade during hafltime about the eagles running game running on the cowboyis in the first half and jay said, its my fault, etc.

now with witten, romo, brooking, sensabaugh, jay ratliff and bradie stepping up as leaders on this team, this team can take it to the next level in winning.

granted they have to do it first, but all signs are starting to look super.

It's not surprising. I know people want to point out that he sat on the bench for a few years learning the game, but there is absolutely no substitute for actually playing. He came in better prepared than most QBs because of the time he got to sit and learn, but you'll never get all the exposure you need to handle things like the Eagles blitzes.

The fact that he's taking that next step after this many starts is just proof of that.
