everyone has been fairly heated about Sundays game against the Giants. this week the Cowboys have a real chance to beat a division opponent and build momentum moving forward. So, what are ur initial thoughts about the game.

One thing I wanna see, is a little more Morris, until Zeke is up to NFL speed. (I don't think it will take long) I also want to see the Defense more aggressive and not so passive. (Meaning play calling)

Matt jones sucks. Follow the steelers gameplan and keep your lbs in coverage. I know people dont like the dallas secondary, but the secondary of the steelers is truly awful. Id force their running game to hurt us before bringing people into the box. Cousins is awful too and couldnt deal with that.

We should be able to run all day.

With that being said, Jordan Reed will have a career day.

Honestly, I had marked this down as a loss anyway with the Giants being a win. Skins coming off a loss makes it an even tougher game IMO. They don't want to lose their first two at home.

Defensively, I think they will do the same thing the Giants did. Try to take the run game away and try to make Prescott beat them. And they, like the Giants, will be perfectly content if the Cowboys just want to throw short stuff to Witten and Beasley all game. We might be able to move between the 20s, but in the redzone, much like the Giants game, we'll stall if we can't find a way to get the outside WRs involved more.

If we can run on them, I think we have a chance to win. If we can't run on their stacked box, we'll probably lose.

Skins have two good CBs too. So they can risk stacking the line and then putting Norman on Dez with some over the top help again.

I don't think they will give help over the top til Dak and Dez can prove its warranted.

The book is already open on how to beat the 'backup' offensive game plan of the cowboys. Unless they open up that playbook for Dak and let him throw down the field, all Washington has to do is stop the run and double-cover Dez and take him out of the game.

I think Washington matches up too well to us. Giants is always a tough game regardless, and the Commanders can be the same.
This will be who makes the less mistakes type game. And I am not so sure we will be making less of them. There will be some weird play that will cost us the game.

Looks as we should be able to run on their D, which means we won't.
They will send their WR's deep on us, often, as we never send ours deep other than a few times, and that is even with Tony in there. Play calling needs to be opened up, or we will see a repeat of Sunday's performance.
On D, they need to be more aggressive on cousins, get him rattled. But our defense getting to him will again be the issue there.

I think we could win this game over should win this game. But the team needs to overcome it's shortcomings on play and on play calling.

Garrett will game plan to have Dez line up on Josh Normans side the entire game.

First time in NFL history, offensive team seeks out shut down corner to help benefit defensive game plan!!! Ha

The Skins will likely do to Dallas what the Steelers did to the Skins. As James Hetfield said, "Sad but truuuuue."

The Skins will play 8-9 in the box and easily defend Dez and TWill with 2 CBs and a Safety. The Cowboys won't have audible or RPO calls (like they didn't seem to do AT HOME vs. NYG), and hence we'll see Zeke run futilely into the mess in front of him for a gain of 0-3 yards. Then Dak will try to convert 3rd and Longs and the WRs won't get separation (because they're overrated), and that'll be that.

On the other side of the ball, the Skins will dink and dunk and occasionally throw deep to DeSean, and embarrass the Cowboys undertalented defense.

I hope I'm wrong, but I am not hopeful.

Skins by 13 or more.

Can't play scared and that's Garrett's coaching style. Steelers went for it on 4th down, 3 times in the 1st half. Would Garrett ever dream of doing that? This team has the talent to compete with any team in the NFL if they had a legit coaching staff. They do not, so prepare for another long season.

They have offensive talent but no one on D that opposing teams have to game plan for.
