On Tony Romo

Bill Parcells quit a year too soon. Tony needed Bill getting on his grill telling him to man up every stinkin week. Without Parcells, Tony has been too happy reading and believing his own hype. And unless he grows up quickly or finds another coach that will regularly smack him on the forehead, he will end up being average. At this point he reminds me a lot less of Staubach and a lot more of the many QB's that start out hot and wash out of the league a couple years later. He has what it takes to be a champion. But he needs to remember what big Bill taugh him about discipline and sacrifice.

What? Tony is one person on this team that motivates himself. He's consistently working to improve his game. I do think he's trying too hard right now to be someone he's not, but I don't think it has anything to do with the someone needing to "smack him on the forehead". He just needs to relax and go with his gut.
