On your scale of bad behavior in the NFL, how does this rank?

From SI:

Denver Broncos Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall said he wanted to be traded more than 18 months ago and said he "hated Denver," according to documents obtained by the CALL7 Investigators. Marshall was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Oct. 22, 2007, and according to the police report, he started verbally attacking the city of Denver and saying he wanted to leave the Broncos. "I hate Denver. I hope I get traded. I hate this f******* city," an officer wrote in the police report.

I don't know why this is coming to light now, but I hope the Commish comes down hard on this brat. Unless the statute of limitations has expired on his NFL case, that warrants a half year at home with no pay.
That is the ultimate insult to a city and its fans.
Take the money and run, you schmuck, then hate on the city and its fans.

Commish, do not let this guy make money off of a place he "hates."

Brandon, gGo somewhere you really like like Cleveland or Detroit or Buffalo,

So you have no opin or nit about the subject?

How long, how much was he suspended for?

What is the SI rationale for this coming out now?

he got a 3 game suspension in 2008 for it.

I hate players like him. He is so talented, yet has had 8 run ins with the law since 04.

But he was already suspended for that. ESPN is reaching for a story and a high profile player said " i hate denver" (while intoxicated) and thats now a big story.

The problem is they already gave in to Cutler and let him go because he cried like a big baby about wanting to leave.

If they do it again, they are basically telling anyone that has an issue on the team can just complain about it until they get their way.

Bunch of two-year-olds.

I think McDaniels has an ill fated tenure because of the disastrous start. He'll have to draft HIS team because the current roster is picked over and not buying into him.

Some athletes just rub you the wrong way. The ones that drive me crazy are the ones who you just know don't care about squat other than getting paid big time.

I'm not against making a buck, don't get me wrong. I just want to see someone who makes that kind of coin actually be thankful for it, and to not take it for granted. Some of my all time hated athletes who act like this are in no particular order....

Brandon Marshall
PacMan Jones
Manny Ramiriez
Juan Gonzales
Rasheed Wallace

You almost get the sense with McDaniels that he feels he's entitled to reverence since he was in New England, that things should come easy and his transactions and plans unquestioned because he worked with Brady and Bellicheck and coached Cassel from nothing to first round trade bait.

To lose the heart of your offense Cutler and Marshall is pretty substantial and says a thing or two about their comfort level with the coach, the guys worked with disciplinarian named Shannahan who had a way more impressive resume and offensive mind.

So let me see if I have this right.

He said he hated Denver and now he is some punk biznatch.

I said that every day I was in Viet Nam. I guess I'm a punk biznatch, as well.

Marshall is a punk. Not just for this action but for the sum of his actions. This particular incident is a nice size mole hill for SI to make a mountain out of. But if you put all of his mole hills together they are making a pretty good size pile of...something that smells bad.

He hated being in Denver and was getting taken in for suspicion of DWI. I would be mad too.

Think about what Mel Gibson said. The truth comes out when you're drunk. You can't fault a guy for hating a place.

Denver's a great city, you're crazy!

I love summertime activities, jet skiing, swimming, fishing, boating, etc, etc. I like going to the beach. Denver is just not warm long enough for anyone that likes hot weather to enjoy themselves. The water never actually warms up, Denver is the only place I know where you can die of hypothermia in July. It starts getting cold in Oct and last until May, sometimes June.

There is only about 3 really nice months and that's it. They can have the mountains, I lived there for 10 years and can count on one hand how many times I went up to the mountains, and that was to gamble.

You dont meet too many natives that live there, I wonder why that is? Too many transplanted Californians make it very expensive to live there, the little tiny rancher I lived in with the dinky yard was 150k, hell here in VA I can buy an acre of land with a huge rancher on it for that price. Here I have a beach, mountains and the best part is a beach.

Colorado sucks, I can see why he doesnt like it.
