About their draft intentions.

"CB is a priority" - 1st round CB
"RB isn't a necessity" - None taken in first 5 rounds
"Defensive focused draft" - 4 of first 5 picks on defense
"Don't be surprised if we take an offensive lineman" - 3rd round OT
Only visited with 3 DT's leading up to the draft - None taken in first 5 rounds
Every player drafted so far was a pre-draft visit.

I was hoping against hope that the lack of visits by defensive tackles would not materialize into actual lack of picks but there does appear to be a strong correlation.

Claibourne wasn't a visit, how did that work out?

I meant this year though I agree with what you said. Claiborne is the reason they won't draft a player they haven't done their homework on.

They weren't well enough informed on Claiborne because they didn't think he'd fall. I believe they learned their lesson.

That pick will haunt them for a while. I don't mind transparency if you don't have guys busting out. But a RB, would have been nice.

Pity a multi-billion dollar franchise has to learn the hard way. Never base your decision based on hype and not do your homework.

The damage is done. There will be no further haunting. At least we got 3+ years out of him.

I am not sure if you are complaining about it or not

He did fall, almost every mock had him not getting past #3. He was widely regarded the best defensive player of that draft. Lol funny, I know.

But 3 to 6 really isn't much of a fall. Plus, he was picked after Justin Blackmon and Trent Richardson, so that's excusable ;)
