Regarding Dez, Coach Robinson was asked...

"How much has he benefited from playing in 14 games, you know staying on the field?

These guys are priceless sources of football info.

Sometimes I think journalism is worse than politics.

I'm thinking a port grain elevator's suction tubing connected to a water tower. The back end of a dump truck would suffice for the staging platform...

Hos - I'm not sure why you're surprised.
Not surprised, continually disgusted.

I fail to see what the snickering is about. Did he get the # of games wrong? Nope, it's 14. His only "crime" seems to be lobbing Robinson a softball that he could hit out of the park. I thought that's the kind of pliant media that fans around here wanted. Damned if you do ...
Quit thinking if that's the best your thoughts can come up with.

How many times have I said I miss Blackie Sherrod? I can't even fathom Blackie asking such a question. Or Brad Sham, or Frank Luksa, or Verne Lundquist, or Pat Summerall, or Irv Cross...

I feel ya man. Sometimes I get so mad about our stupid media that I fantasize about slapping them in their stupid mouths. I'd risk the jail time.

Only a Dallas reporter could get in trouble at the Zone for asking an easy, obvious question. Robinson wasn't annoyed at all.

Back when description was entertaining...and not just instigating agendas for burn barrel enjoyment.

I'm annoyed. I don't need his permission to be annoyed at these idiots. Nor yours. I wouldn't seek your permission or blessing on anything. That's just the way it is.

Why should he be? That's a lot easier question to answer than pointed ones about route-running, etc. Specifics about Bryant's development or lack thereof would be nice.

The problem with too many in this industry that I'm a part of is they do no research of their own to be prepared to ask pointed questions. We've gotten to the point where the coaches often dictate what the story is going to be rather than reporters coming in to news conferences knowing what the story should be based on research. It's made a lot of us lazy and/or unwilling to ask meaty questions.

Then you're ridiculously easy to annoy. I'm annoyed by fans cherry picking reporters' questions or repeatedly using the word "cabal" to imply some sort of anti-Dallas media conspiracy, so I guess we have the same problem.

Bingo  Couldn't have said better!

I would buy an online subscription if CouchScout were able to ask the coaches questions.

Or is it our problem for having a skewed view of sports, and not realizing that these guys are asking players questions about a game and we should view their jobs just about as seriously as we do TMZ?

See how I went all zen there and flipped it around?
