At a time where REAL NFL teams are playing for the Lombardi trophy....the reality show known as the Dallas Cowboys grabs the headlines. I am beyond sick of the NFLs verson of The Real World. And it has been confirmed by several players now that the season is over....that the distractions and drama in Dallas wore them down.

Whether or not YOU think they should be able to play through this stuff...CLEARLY they cannot. I was shouted down when I said that.....maybe now that the players are saying....Jerry and everyone else will listen. Jerry scouted and drafted hard working no nonsense players. That is what Parcells WANTED. The personalities of the best players on this team have no interest in being Micheal, or Emmit or Deion. Newman, Ware, Ratliff, Witten, Barber....these guys don't need or want the media to have all access to the team. The guys who do like this stuff are not even Cowboys (Tank, Pac Man, TO)....and to often these guys were the mouthpiece for the team because the REAL ballers on the team have nothing to say.

This team needs to get back to football....we flushed an entire season down the drown because Jerry THOUGHT he needed any and all publicity going into the new stadium. He has owned this team forever and still cannot figure out that WINNING will always trump all the charades and shennanigans he likes during a season.

Until he CHANGES....NOTHING will change. Until he stops talking about a Super Bowl before winning a playoff game...nothing will change. Until he STOPS going to the media and saying player x needs to get the ball more....nothing will change. How do you think the QB and o-coordinator felt after hearing the guy that signes their paycheck that #81 needs to get the ball? Until he stops showing the coach up by coasting on the sidelines during the game....nothing will change. Until he stops giving his take on injuries before a game(remember him hinting Romo might play against the Rams?)....nothing will change. Until he stops getting TOO high over a nice regular season win....and TOO low over a bad regular season loss....nothing will change. Until he stops saying...player X will be a beast...before player X even establishes himself on the depth chart...nothing will change. Why do you think Tank was such a divissive force this year? The owner told everyone he was going to be unstopable....Tank believed it...thus he blamed coaches, scheme, playing time etc....for his inability to fulfill the owners prediction. But I guess the coaches got tired of him not filling his gap or getting blown off the ball. Until he stop allowing players to come to him and gripe about their role on the team....rendering the head coach powerless...nothing will change. Lastly, until he stops getting so enamored with people (Pac Man, Owens, Garrett, Tank, Stanback) that his ego will not allow him to admit he is wrong and cut his losses...nothing will change. Sparano was not a big enough name...and probably would have put Jerry in his place.....therefore Sparano went to Miami....and Jerry picked the smartest guy in the room. We had our coach RIGHT here on this staff...and Jerry did not realize it.

Jerry got so excited about the prospects of this team that he just could not contain himself this year. That has a trickle down effect on this entire organization...they got so excited about the prospects of beating Pittsburgh that they clammed up and wet the bed. DeMarcus Ware (who I love) is talking about breaking the sack record against McNabb...as if the McNabb is just going to lay down for him. Crayton is upset because of the quality of the opponent we had to play after losing to the Commanders. I mean this team has just lost it's mind! Regardless of how GOOD you think you are...the games still have to be played...and everyone is going to make playing Dallas their Super Bowl. It does not need the cherry on top that Jerry and some of these players provides on a weekly basis.

Get back to football...and the players will know things are different if Jerry changes.

I am not the biggest Jason Garrett fan...but the fact that he is considering going to Detroit is proof that he would rather get as far away as possible from this circus...than to coach a talented roster in the best staduim for the most recognizable team in all of sports.

You're right but Jerry will never see it that way because he just doesn't want to.

I've been more dissapointed with Jerry this year, than I ever have.

In his quest to get us to buy tickets to the new stadium, he's actually turned me off to the point where I wouldn't do it.

The irony.

Couldn't agree more, especially the bolded items. Unfortunately, It's probably never gonna change unless Jerry is 6 feet under, has a stroke or gets a labotomy.

The one thing that doesn't bother me is Jerry going down on the field. I don't think him being on the field would be an issue at all if would just do/realize all the other things mentioned above. His presence on the field unfortunately reminds us of how disfunctionally he runs this organization.

I'm still sick to my stomach about the current state of the Cowboys..imo, barring a miracle, hope is all but dead for the foreseeable future

True, but this time we are grabbing the headlines for the right reasons. Lets make headlines folks! All for the right reasons too.

amen to that.

Not buying that Witten jersey.
Not buying that stadium ticket
Not buying that cruise package with the photo workshop by Bob Lilly
Not buying that Jerra Beer.

When you think of it, it is quite the irony what Jerra has done to himself.

That's pretty harsh.

I choose to say it's probably never gonna change unless jerra runs off with Rhonda Fleming. that would be less harsh.

You guys act like that was an original Jerry idea.

that was when the team was new. the cowboys are the 2nd most popular team from the USA behind the Yankees. they don't need all this media coverage any more.

It may be, but I don't think its too far from the truth. Jerry has beat the hope out of me. I couldn't be more disgusted with the way he runs the team. Even though he pisses me off, I don't wish those things on him, I just honestly think that's the type of extreme event it's going to take for the Cowboys to succeed in the playoffs and beyond again (he does have a shot of drawing to a royal flush, but I'd prefer a TEAM that's in the running every year that competes and plays with heart versus one that has to hit the lotto and when it doesn't folds like a cheap tent).

the teams concentration. you don't think it hurts the team?

I don't think the team pays attention to this stupidity, so NO- I don't think it hurts the team.

Besides, I thought TO's words were distracting the team. Are you telling me that Jerry is distracting the team from being distracted by TO?

they're both distracting this team. Owens and his whining and Jerry with all his unnecessary circus crap. also where have you been if you think this team doesn't pay attention to the media? they've been thinking they were the superbowl champs before the last 2 seasons have even started.

you are kidding yourself if this team is not affected by this. This spend more time leading up to a game dealing with their own soap opera....after we beat the Giants...the talk was STILL about secret meetings.....secret plays being drawn up.....that is when you KNOW this is no longer a football team.....but a reality show. And I don't care what anyone says...the performance of MANY of these players and coaches is indicative of an organization that would rather entertain first....and win second. And I don't care WHAT they say out of their mouth. The results speaks loud and clear. The Eagles scored 3 points the prior week against the Commanders. In a game with everything on the line...we get beat by 40. The gameplan was poor....the players played poorly...and the effort was poor. That speak to an organization whose preparation was DREADFUL!!!!!!!!!!

I still watch the games, I just quit caring who wins a long time ago; There's no point in getting all emotionally involved in a group of people who obviously don't care themselves.

Jerry Jones is a fool but that is his problem not mine. He will never change as long as people keep buying his overpriced things and going to games and buying even more overpriced things. From that perspective it is as much the fault of the fans who give him money as it is the GM. There is no incentive for him to change as long as people keep giving him money.

Gripe all you want but as long as you're giving him money, don't expect any change in the ways he does things.

I notice that Jerry doesn't give any of the fans any money, he just takes it from his foolish sheeple and they keep giving it to him and expecting change...ain't gonna happen. Baaaaaa.

A fool and his money are soon parted unless he is dealing with bigger fools than himself.

But what if it's on sale, like from the Pro Shop and stuff?
