No matter how rough the season is right now, I do hope Dallas gets to the dance. And one thing the NFL has proven is that a wild-card team can definately make some noise, up to and including winning a SB title (Steelers and Giants). I am deeply concerned about the team right now, but if Dallas gets in, they do have a chance.
Remember the phrase, "On any given Sunday."

The "Any Given Sunday" phrase does apply at all times.. However, in the playoffs you have multiple Sundays stacked up. Huge multiple Sundays. That said, I don't put much stock in to "Any Given Sunday" in the playoffs. Teams don't get lucky in the playoffs three weeks in a row. One? Sure.

Defense again played stout for 3.5 quarters.

What the hell good is that? A football game isn't 3.5 quarters long. The fact that they can't finish is a big reason why we're not 3-0 this month.

You are right that the playoffs are a very rough road to travel. But, I will say this, one of most favorite Cowboys teams was the 1975 crew that went to SB X as a wild-card.
That was a team of kids that was not suppose to do much. That Cowboys team managed to beat a very good Vikings team on a lucky, last ditch pass that I am sure you remember well. That same team pounded a solid Rams defense the next week to earn their ticket to the Bowl. Now I know they did not beat the Steelers, but they gave Pitts all it could handle.

Maybe this years Cowboys team does pull an "one and done," but you never know. It is why the play the games

Well considering that we probably will not make the playoffs, I dont think we will have to worry about being "one and done".

THey can beat the Cardinals. That team is overrated. As are we so it's fitting

whos to say we can beat Arizona? they already beat us and that was without Boldin. im not saying we cant beat them but hell i wouldnt even make us the favorite in that game if thats who we up playing especially in Arizona. This team is the most talented inconsistent team i have ever seen! i think we lose in the 1st rd if we get in but with this team honestly who the hell knows...
