1. Tony Romo's problems right now are NOT just timing issues with new receivers, etc. He is missing some wide open throws and it not just in this last game either.

2. The season is not over at 2-2, but the basic problems that cripple this team year in and year out under Wade Phillips are still there, clearly to be seen. So, even if we knock off a bunch of weak sisters and end up in the playoffs, if the sloppy and stupid play continues this team isn't going far.

3. This team doesn't have a #1 type receiver. Roy Williams is not the answer for that problem.

4. If the first throw to Hurd is down in his chest or stomach instead of over his head its a TD. (See #1)

5. Wade Phillips is simply a joke as a head coach. I just can't believe we have him at the helm. (see #6)

6. Jerry Jones IS THE PROBLEM in this organization, plain and simple. You have a circus barker running a football organization and until that changes this is what we can expect.

7. This team's talent is good enough to make the playoffs, but, at least from what I can see, this team is not a Super Bowl team.

I obviously hope I'm wrong on #7.

The TALENT is there, the TEAM is not. Nor is the staff.

This team is not my problem nor is it the problem of anyone on this board; it is Jerry Jones' problem just as it has been the last 13 years and I see nothing indicating any forthcoming change. The SNAFU continues to have a life of its own.

Life is good anyway if you don't expect very much from this bunch. It's expecting too much that leads to disappointment.

I feel uncommonly good today, freed from the shackles of excessive expectations.

Can't argue with that. Don't know what's wrong with Tony but he needs to play better. It may sound simplistic but it's the truth.

I really think that Mike Holmgren could be a great answer on this issue. Favre struggled after Holmgren left because he abandoned some basic mechanics kind of stuff. I think that Romo struggles with accuracy, at times, because his mechanics get sloppy.

Well Holmgren and Jerry are tight....

I do think we need to draft another qb somewhere in the draft next year. Romo's gonna be 30 and I don't want to go through another post-Aikman era

The biggest concern I had about Romo yesterday was how he was missing the wide open receivers. The turnovers were bad but I'm not sure they were totally on him. Somebody failed to pick up the blitzer on the blind side hit that caused the first turnover so somebody shares the blame there. The pick that he threw to Bailey was either because the receiver broke the wrong way or Romo threw it the wrong way. Not sure about this one.

However, the open recievers that were missed cause me some big time concern. I'm wondering if it's because he's not sure where they are going to be or if he's just losing his accuracy? To his credit he did give us an opportunity to win at the end. The last pass was there but Baily made a good play.

1. Tony Romo's problems right now are NOT just timing issues with new receivers, etc. He is missing some wide open throws and it not just in this last game either. - keep working on it. We know he can be more accurate

2. The season is not over at 2-2, but the basic problems that cripple this team year in and year out under Wade Phillips are still there, clearly to be seen. - agreed. Its nowhere near over. Too much football to be played. Alot of similar problems but we are close in some ways.

3. This team doesn't have a #1 type receiver. Roy Williams is not the answer for that problem. - While I dont know if Roy can be a true #1, I believe he will contribute greatly. I think he is going through a similar transition that NEW yankee players go through. They need a half-full season to acclimate to new QB.

4. If the first throw to Hurd is down in his chest or stomach instead of over his head its a TD. (See #1) Agreed. 2nd throw, Bailey was wrapped around Hurd's waiste.

5. Wade Phillips is simply a joke as a head coach. I just can't believe we have him at the helm. (see #6) I never liked the hire. I like the guy but nothing more than a DC.

6. Jerry Jones IS THE PROBLEM in this organization, plain and simple. You have a circus barker running a football organization and until that changes this is what we can expect. - Its true, he is. Dont get me wrong. I like ALOT of the things he does for fans and the Cowboys org. But he is too involved. He is not a football guy.

7. This team's talent is good enough to make the playoffs, but, at least from what I can see, this team is not a Super Bowl team. - I think there is enough talent to win a Steelers-type-SB win or a Giants-type-SB win(re: last 2 SB wins by aforementioned teams)

I obviously hope I'm wrong on #7. - Double Agree.
