Ok, Ill try to say it simple, when I knew that T.O. was coming to Dallas, I couldnt believe it, I simply hated that guy, hated him for what he had done here and hated him for being just him, the things that he said and the way he acted every day and every where.
Now, One regular season almost after, and with all those things that happened this year and concerned T.O. I must say that he performed on field, do I need to remember those early games when we were behind on the score and who was yelling and screaming on the line to "cheer up" or make react the team? there was T.O. and say what you want to say, but if we are 3rd and long, I always want the ball aiming T.O. drops and at all, I always want the ball to go to T.O.
My point: T.O. should stay.

I think Jerry is probably going to give TO 1 more year as long as particpates in the offseason program, mini-camps, ect.....

I sincerely hope you are dead wrong for my sake, I don't think I can take another year of this psycho-nut. This guy make Deion look like a dedicated boy scout.

I Parcells leaves and T.O. stays I hope JJ will still be able to hire a good coach, I mean hows that gonna look. Who would want to come here and coach and put up with this poop.

I really like both Witten abd Glenn and would darn well rather meet either of those guys and get autographs or whatever than TO. BUT neither guy is as good as TO. Many claim that one or both are but they are sadly mistaken and mostly filled with wishful thinking.

TO drops more passes than either guy but TO is nearly as big as Witten and nearly as fast as Glenn. The guy is a ridiculously hard cover; especially in the red zone. His TD catches are hardly flukes.

Glenn catches the ball better but is much smaller and can not create space with his body. If you are at all inaccurate on a pass to Glenn it can be picked.

TO could transition into a guy that lasts another 5 years in this league by becoming more concerned with catching the ball and less concerned with yards after the catch. This is his first non-YAC offense so it may take time but the guy can actually get better.

The circus is annoying and he certainly is a jerk but the guy has very real talent and does produce.

I expect him to be back to at least start next season. If we cut him do it during the season where he has less chance to end up hurting us as an opponent.

This is a guy who missed most of camp and has a serious hand injury. Yet he is closing in on the Cowboys TD record. This guy could easily break the all the major single season receiving records if he comes back.

It is not that I am that big a fan of TO myself, but the problem is the options available to us. Who is going to replace TO if we release him? I am talking about a 1000 yard receiver with 12-14 TDs.

We can draft a WR, but what rookie is going to draw double coverage and put up Owens like numbers.....none.

We can go free agent route, but the pickens are slim next year. I think Drew Bennett from the Titans is the highest rated WR on the market next year.....I think I will pass.

So unless we go trade route and ante up some first rounders (remember last time we tried this.....see Galloway trade), we are pretty much screwed without Owens.

So we really dont have much of a choice right now, we need TO back in 07.

His drawing double coverage hasnt seemed to help much lately, it did earlier in the year but I guess it won't matter much until we get more consistent play from the oline. I don't think this team is anywhere near SB next year so I would cut him. I would love to see us draft a top college receiver in the 1st round.

T.O. surely has talent but I will venture to say that he will never be on a superbowl championship team. He is not a team guy and he's always downing the coaching staff, look what that's getting the Giants now. Whether the coaching staff deserves flack or not, the player should just shut up and not voice it in the public eye. When your vets down the coaching staff the young players will start to doubt them as well, and you lose confidence from your team, can't win a SB like that.

He will start on Romo sooner or later also and try to destroy him he did it the two other places even started to with Bledsoe before the benching, so why not Romo. He'd probably do it if he played with Joe Montana.

He also runs poor routes. So to me his attitude and drops cancels out his talent and production. We're not much better with him here than we were last year we're still spinning our wheels in the mediocrity mud hole with or without him. We'll be one and done in the playoffs.

so let me ask this question. Does anyone remember Charles Hailey? Was he a role model...no. He actuall deficated in the sun roof of one of his teammates. Not to mention that he o=isolated himself way worse the TO ever did.

I guess this is a generatin of forgivness and blame. Who cares what he does in the eyes of BSPN I care what happens on the field and it is far better then any receiver in the past years....

Now I remeber reports of these kind of things when he was with San Fran, but the only thing I remember with Dallas is him putting his helmet thru a wall when he said get Emmitt signed, in '93.

No Chuck wasnt the best role model but he wasnt anywhere near the level of the Volital T.O.

I would love to draft a top college receiver like the kid from GA Tech or Ted Ginn Jr, but we are not going to be picking that high. So unless you want to trade the whole draft and move up into the top 10, this is not an option.

I am talking about a viable alternative if TO is released. I dont think we are going to be drafting a top college receiver in the late 20s, so this option will not work.

Again, what are our options.....draft a 2nd tier WR in the late 20s or sign a 2nd tier FA like Bennet...........I really dont like either option in place of TO

Right On the money beast_ - we need T.O back next year. 12 TD's are still 12 TD's doubt anybody else other than Glenn can have em. Stop this love-affair with T.O cuz it aint ''love''. its the production hes bringin to the field. it is wut it is..drops and all.

Just like to mention theres a team in desperate need for a WR. and they did mention T.O as a possible WR for them, if released. that would be Vicks Team.

I still don't want T.O. no matter what, even if we have to rebuild next year. I'm that sick of him.

Right now the only opinion that matters is Jerry's. He doesn't think he's getting the bang for his buck. IF we get any where in the playoffs and owens helped, his opinion will change. Hell mine might even bend a bit.;)
