With this team, we're just not good enough for fans to say we will win this game or that game. This team is so up and down it's crazy! It's been this way for years. If you say the Cowboys will win big, they let you down. We as fans have to go into each game with a 50/50 mindset, to avoid a possible headache.

This way of thinking also gets rid of people attacking each other on here for their opinions about this team. This team starts to go on a run, you have fans attacking others because of their comments from game 1 vs Tampa.

Let's say we go on a run, you have to know that we have that flaw in us that things will somehow go downhill. Please just save yourself the emotional pain, keep it in neutral and you'll be just fine this season!! Please give your thoughts!!!

Never let the outcome of a game ruin your week, or even day. While I'd like for the Boys to win, the sun rises on a new day with more important matters in life. I might be critical of the Jones', Zeke, Lamb and Dak, but I'd also like for them to serve me a dish of crow. Win or lose, it's on to the next game to give me a break from life's problems for a few hours.

I like that approach very much. I do believe that we can win with Cooper. Simply because the team will go into such games with a completely different attitude. You could see it against Minnesota. Everything was very step by step, no huge plays but very good work ethics. They knew they didnt have their star QB at center, so they kinda stepped it up for Cooper so to speak. They found different ways to gain their yards.

I think therein lies our chance to win against the Bengals. They just won't know what's coming. TB said they knew, but now noone knows, probably not even Kellen. He, and not the OL, is the biggest threat to a win imo. I am actually looking forward to the game after the frustration after the TB game ceased a little bit.

I am not saying our chances for a win are pretty big, but as always, it's about gameday performance. It's not always the better team on paper taking the win home. And whats also probably helping us is that ridiculous beating last week. They're all hopefully ashamed of their performance and the one who said "it's just a bump in the road" (what a stupid comment after such a game) won't be playing. So maybe they'll find a whole other team spirit.

So, GO Cowboys! One game at a time! :flagwave:

The Tampa comment
I have been saying one game at a time for about 40 years. I'm good.

I mean you just have to, the way we play and how we're coached, you're setting yourself up for let down if you don't

You're so right, it used to make me mad after a loss. I'm like hey it's whatever, I got my family etc etc this loss is nothing time to move on. They don't care why should i

What DallasEast said!

We're going to see the same crap next year. Like we've seen for almost a decade. The Cowboys will draft players and fill holes with bargain FAs. Also don't expect them to move up in the early rounds of the draft. They sit and take the leftovers.

It's as if we have amateurs running the show. Too afraid to do anything. A 6th grader could do our off season. That's how simplistic our off seasons have been.

Nothing needs to be said, you said that perfectly!!

Nothing is forcing anyone to make predictions. It is each individual fan's choice. It has been decades since I thought each game was a given. Since then, I try not chalking up wins and losses on a schedule before games are played.

Of course, some may choose to shield themselves from personal discomfort by lowering their expectations. Nothing is wrong with that. Doing so does not change the outcome of any game though.

On the other hand, I hope for a win every week regardless how "bleak" things look. Heck. Take the 1989 season. I was rooting my butt off every game even though I knew losses were likely. I guess I prefer facing the pain of seeing the team lose, during any game, rather than pretend each loss does not hurt.

Exactly.

No guarantees for any game, one way or the other.

Although I'd rather see them winning.

Start of this season exactly as last one, then a nice streak.

Seems like more doom this time around because of, for one, Dak went down.

Never can tell, it's not only the Boys that will deal with issues in a 17 game schedule.
