One hypothetical question about Larry Allen?

What would be the impact of Larry Allen if he had played DT?
I can't imagine the stats..
What if we had never drafted him? He was the 10th O-lineman taken in the draft in 94, I hope this year's Ol class has some one like LA somewhere in 2nd round like at pick 56.:flagwave:

Give him credit for being one of the greatest offensive lineman of all time. That is enough for any for any NFL player at any position. Wasting time speculating about how effective he would have been in another position.

Vince Wilfork had like five sacks his whole career. I suspect Larry's numbers would be similar. A big run stopper who helps other guys out.

Derrick Brooks can thank him for his HOF career.....as for LAllen, he was meant to be on the OL as a mauler. Give punishment. To see Conner Williams trying to play the same position as Allen, how the mighty have fallen.

He wasn’t just big, he was explosive too so I think he would have had a bit of pass rush too. I think he was the type of athlete that would have been great in any position that relies on power.

This play may be why this topic came up. Larry Allen looking like Darrell Green. He may have been able to play safety. Lol

A missed opportunity.

He was a first ballot Hall of Famer. He was more valuable at the position he played. He helped make our OL arguably the greatest ever and he contributed to a lot of the yards Emmitt Smith gained. There was no missed opportunity with him.

If he played DT there would be.
