after this season is to hire a HC as soon as possible.

When Parcells left, JJ let BP take his time. And BP did. Maybe it didn't matter because the quality of coaches available were suspect compared to who is available now.

I just hope if JJ is going with another option at HC, that he gets in there fast and chooses his top choice. Given the probability of Wade lasting, I would suspect JJ has already started thinking the direction he wants to take the team this time around.

The other benefit is that it gives the potential new HC time to get quality assistants, get acclimated to the Cowboys draft process, and the players on the squad (i.e., access strengths and weaknesses).

Bring back Bill.

Why he has not won a playoff since 1998 and has not won without Belicheck. At least that was the story. :laugh2:

I always thought that that JJ liked the type of teams that Shannahan (sp?) and Holmgren built.

In any case, there are going to be quite a few teams looking for a proven, quality HC.

Off the top of my head, I can think of the Raiders (though I doubt any respectible candidate would go there. Commanders, of course. Perhaps the Jags, Buffalo and Carolina?

Regardless of who the HC is next year, Coach Jerry needs to step off and allow his coaches more accountability/responsibility.
