i would just like to restate that i have no problem with anything anyone posts on this board. i would only ask that people post correct information: i.e. strahan got only one sack on rob, not two. i realize that this is an open forum for ideas and views and should remain that way. i respect all views as to my sons play so far, but the only views i'm concerned with are those of parscells and jones. so far, the reports i get are good and getting better. rob knows that alot of work needs to be done and will be getting after it in the off season. meantime, rob and the rest of the team are working extremely hard to win the remaining games, after that we'll see.

thank you

Money Post. Obviously everyone is entitled to an opinion. But those opinions should be made with knowledge of the truth. Right on, bro.

Hey pittdawg, you used to be a Giants fan ? Right ? So you must be going to the Giants game on Dec 4th ? A bunch of NY Metro fans here would like to meet you. We'll be tailgating before the game. Any chance we could get you to stop by ?

Completly understand, I know most on this board think Rob is doing a very good job. We know he's a rookie and going thru some growing pains but he's already better than most on this board ever hoped for when he was Drafted.

Others on this board are well I can't call them "idiots" but you get the point they like to complain about anything and everything...I'd like to see some of them out there in Rob's place and then see if they think its so easy, I bet they wouldn't complain nearly as much....

Patience in fans is always a sketchy thing. No matter what the facts are some will skew them. Don't let it get to you.

I dont know how you guys/gals (parents of players) do it.

I wouldnt subject myself to reading people potentially bashing my son if he were a professional athlete on a MB. I woould probably lose it and get banned within a month.

Kudos to you PittDawg for taking the high road.

We'll be looking for you :)

I don't know what business you are in, but I'm sure its going to be doing well taking customers to a game with a VIP.

Because Mr. pittdawg...you are now a VIP !

Thanks for your contribution here...and ignore the idiots who dog Rob. Remember, only care what BP thinks of Rob as a player. BP thinks enough of him to start him as a rookie at RT. And BP is not known for starting rookies period. Your boy will be fine and we'll watch his back here.

Pitt, Rob is playing great considering he's a rookie and he's learning a new position. Tell him we said to keep working hard and we support him.

A lot of posters want instant all-star, though every poster here knows it takes times to adjust to the NFL, 8 games aint long enough, especially after a postitiion switch. Personally I have grown attatched to Rob and love him. I aint worried bout him, He will be fine. Tell him to keep his chin up and to keep on keeping on. We are behind him, even the pple that want him traded or replaced will be on his bandwagon when he puts it all together.

Rob is still a rookie! a 6th round rookie! he's getting better and will get better over the next few years. not many linemen start their first year, and especially not being drafted that late. If we didnt have Rob who would we be starting at RT? Marc Colombo? no thanks. gj rob keep it up.

Pittdawg -

Great attitude. It's all in how you look at it.

Rob is doing at least as well as any other rookie 6th round draft choice starting at OT in the NFL in an OJT program.

Good luck to you both.

Here's my opinion to balance some of the critical comments....any rookie who can step into the RT spot in Dallas and play as well as he has, under the scrutiny of having to protect Bledsoe, who also has the respect of BP, and who works as hard as RP is likely to be a pro-bowler some day IMO. I am absolutely thrilled that he's in Dallas. He's contributed a lot more already than some of our higher OL picks of the past few years.

That's asking for an awful lot from some people here. :D

Some of the greatest threads are based on gross misinformation... why should Rob-related ones be any different? :wink2:

BTW, I thought he bounced back really well last week! He's going to get better and better as the year goes on!

Facts are overrated on this board at times. You shouldn't have such high expectations...:)

Coming off his worst outing, Petitti did a good job bouncing back. Let's hope he continues to progress. I know he's feeling the pressure, cuz if we can't keep Bledsoe upright, the season takes on a whole new look.

#79 is only going to get better. Right now he's a major part of a rookie class that has bailed us out big time. #1RT(Petitti), #1DE/OLB(Ware), #1DE(Spears), #2RB(Barber), #3RB/KR(Thompson), #2DE(Canty), #2OLB/DE/STs(Burnett). Throw in solid contributions from Raitliff as a backup DT/DE and that's one of the best rookie classes I've ever seen. Crayton's participation was pure gravy on top.

I agree with your point completely some on this forum just bash for its own sake and never have the facts to back up their bashing. The majority of posters here don't waste there time bashing players or coaches, there is nothing wrong with a objective critique of a players performance but when it is not backed up with actual proof of the missed assignments it gets old really fast.

Please don't let a few misinformed fantasy football players cause you to think there aren't fans here which understand the complexity of pro football, That being said I could easily understand why you would take exception to some of the tired rhetoric, incomplete and illegitimate criticisms some post without even bothering to check the facts. Some here continue even after their balloons are poked full of holes, there are blind idealogues in every part of the world.

In short the majority of the fans here understand what your son is fighting through trying to establish himself in one of the most competitive sports in the world, and we appreciate the insight you bring to the board. All I can say is at least you son doesn't get the Al Johnson, Mike Zimmer treatment where myths are continually recycled as fact over and over again.
