  • 1972 Divisional Playoffs; Staubach led the Cowboys back from a 28-13 deficit to stun the Niners 30-28. Dallas scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
  • 1975 Divisional Playoffs; Staubach and the Cowboys converted a 4th-and-16 late in the fourth quarter. Staubach then threw a deep touchdown pass to Pearson for the 17-14 win over Minnesota.
  • 2014 Wild Card Playoffs; Romo led the Cowboys back from a 20-7 deficit to defeat the Lions 24-20. Romo threw for 293 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He faced heavy pressure (was sacked six times.) He also converted a 4th-and-6 late in the game.

Honorary mention: 1992 NFC Championship Game. Aikman and the Cowboys defeated the Niners 30-20; Aikman threw a slant to Harper for 70 yards when leading by four points with still several minutes remaining, then threw a 6-yard TD to Kelvin Martin to make it a two-score game.

What do you guys think?

Leaving out the 1979 NFC East championship game where Staubach brought them back, down 13 would be pretty high on this list.

Not really old enough to remember before Romo- but he was awesome when he needed to be.

In the second half he went 11-15 and his receivers dropped 3 passes (Beasley, Witten, and Terrance Williams). He made one bad throw to Escobar. He stepped up huge.

What about Danny White in Atlanta? Was it 81? Now that was a comeback.

What a great game that was! Cowboys were down 14 points halfway into the 4th quarter. Robert Newhouse scored and Danny White hit Drew Pearson for 2 TDs, including one with under a minute left. If I remember correctly, we missed the extra point so a FG by Atlanta could have tied it, but the defense shut down Steve Bartkowski to seal the victory. I was on pins and needles the entire 4th quarter.

I thought a lot of Staubach yesterday in Romo's performance. Grinding it out, staying in it, making the big plays at the end.
