And he is basically a better Max Unger. Someone who Dallas really liked last year and had a 1st round grade on.

Morgan Burnett in the Second.

I think you would get a FS that would prove every bit as good as anyone in this class not named Eric Berry and you could fill another need (OL) in the first.

There is no single must-have player for me, but these are the players that I'm interested in:

Earl Thomas
Demaryius Thomas
Bryan Bulaga
Mike Iupati
Joe Haden
Kyle Wilson

The Cowboys might not have a shot at any of these guys, but we are able to get one of them at #27, I'd be happy.

Suh.

He'd be our franchise player. he'd be our defensive rock, together with Ware, for the next 10 years.
The way he helped manhandle McCoy was a thang of beauty. textbook.

Kiper absolutely shreaded that guy last night. I like the rest of the list however!
What did he say and do you agree?

Ya it's not like we have the best dt on the planet or anything ya'know you can always improve #1

Many of you are not participating in the CowboysZone Mock Draft.

It only takes a few minutes (max)per day --if you decide to to vote that day--and we only have 2-3 teams on the clock per day. It requires very little effort.

Come on, we're at pick 20 right now and before you know it, the 'Boys will be on the clock.

We'll probably use 1 full day for the Cowboys to have the possiblity of a trade down and in an effort to get plenty of votes.

The voting is in the Draft Zone and Houston is on the clock.

Man, you can't ask a greedy draft ***** these kinds of questions. Just not fair. Normally I'd say Rolando McClain, but just like with Patrick Willis, I expect him to be gone.

I think I want Dexter McCluster more than any other player in this Draft.

Teams are projecting him as a KR and PR and we need both. In my not so humble opinion, if we can improve field position on Kickoff and Punt Returns this Offense has the potential to break the all time franchise record for points scored per game. Field position absolutely matters. That is why I'd be happy if we drafted 2 people with return skills.

Teams are also projecting him as a slot WR and I would take that because of the matchup problems it could create. I love Patrick Crayton, but he runs in the 4.7 range. You add some speed at the slot with his kind of ability to make cuts and he becomes a nightmare for DCs.

Yeah, he's smallish. But he is actually bigger body wise than Desean Jackson and a lot stronger. I think he is shiftier at full speed too having played some RB at Ole Miss. Which brings up another reason I want him. If we have a RB get hurt he can be our 3rd down option. It would be a nightmare again.

Good character kid, who doesn't care where he gets played. He just wants to lace 'em up and play.

He's the player I want as well...even before reading this. I've been saying it all offseason that we need another dynamic playmaker outside of Felix and I think he's the one. We get him and our ST's are just as scary as our offense and defense. Can you imagine him and Felix in the same backfield, or split out with Felix in the slot, and Miles on the other side? Chills

He won't be there in the 2nd when we pick though...he'll be a low 2nd, high 1st IMO. He's the half pint version of Chris Johnson, Percy Harvin, of the 2010 draft!

Mays in the first. Trade 4th, bennett to Cinci for their 2nd.. Draft Tate and McCluster,, trade Barber for a 3rd to anyone willing and draft the 2 best OL left in the 3rd.

Pouncey is ready to start now and play at a high level.

have you actually seen him play LG ? I have not

Doesn't play with consistent aggression, lacks killer instinct..
Not so much beccause I think Pouncey is an elite center. In fact in terms of a pure center prospect, he may not even be the best in the draft.

Iupati is not as developed nor as athletic. - Wrong I think Iupati is more athletic

exactly why he falls to us he does not need to Start - he can sit a year

You look up road grader in the dictionary and here's who you see. He's got a massive frame with long arms and huge hands. He's not your typical fat boy and carries his 330lbs really well. Going along with that, he's about as athletic a guy for his height and weight in the draft. You love a nasty attitude and Iupati has it in spades. He throws a big punch and never takes a play off. Loves to finish strong and that usually means dropping the yokozuna on a defensive player. Now he's not too good to be true but he does have some shortcomings. He's not real quick, and doesn't work well against the edge, having to drop out and picking players up on the outside. This goes along with blitz pickup. He makes excellent reads and knows what to do on every play but there are times when his body just won't let him get there. Some of this is footwork. You have to admit when you've been able to physically dominate like he has, your footwork and techique is going to take a backseat.

I'd have no problem with my team were picking in the bottom of the first and needed a guard drafted him. One thing that could effect his status is if a team thinks they can move him to tackle. If they do, they will rate him higher. I'm not ridin' that train.

Love Iupati's game. I don't think he can move to tackle and as a guard he's much better in small spaces then pulling or at the second level. But for a team that plays a lot of 4-3 defenses where he's going to have one on one's against another wide body, point of attack, he's going to win those. As I said, his pass pro is going to have to improve, but that's pretty minimal. Give him a run heavy team and he'll dominate. Some are concerned he hasn't played dominate defenses but that doesn't bug me. He can maul people and works hard. That can't be underestimated. Conditioning and effort won't be an issue and teams have to appreciate that.

we be fools to take Pouncey over Iupati

Sorry all you Pouncey lovers Dallas has it sights on Iupati ever since the senior bowl

as glory days says
From everything I have been hearing, from Broaddus to others supposedly in the know, we want Iupati.

We get you don't like Pouncey. You sound like a stuck record.
