One Pro Bowl rumor has the Falcons dealing RB TJ Duckett.

Duckett hasn't improved much since he broke into the league, and has Warrick Dunn clearly ahead of him. Carolina would be a nice fit, as coach John Fox loves powerful runners. Duckett wouldn't command too high of a pick in the draft, so it might be worth it for the Panthers.

What's it going to be then, eh?

RB TJ Duckett anyone?

What possible use would he be? We have Julius Jones, Marion Barber and Tyson Thompson.

We have no use for another RB, let alone TRADE for one. Not for Duckett. Not for Lewis.

Do you think BP will be looking for a "power running back" to play Bettis or Otis Anderson's role in the offense? Especially with J.J. record of getting injuried the past two years.

I think people are way too wrapped up in this "power back" issue with Coach Parcells. It, like many things, has become a myth attached to him and his philosophies.

Who was his "power back" with the Patriots? The Jets?

Just because he had O.J. Anderson years ago doesn't mean he would be craving a clone. And besides, Duckett's work ethic and durability are nothing like Anderson's was.

He has made it clear he likes the speed player and the "banger". Who is to say that Barber isn't the "banger"? I believe he is.

I mentioned this because, BP (under force or not from Jerry) tried to work Eddie George into that role in 1994.

LOL, yea, with BP running the offense again we'll need a big dog to hand the ball to 3 times in a row inside the 20yd line. Every time:)

Julious Jones can do everything from short yardage to busting a 70 yard run. We just need some better lineblocks and he'll be head for the all pro game next 5 years.
