game is J. Addai of the Colts. I think a player with his abilities would fit well in Dallas' offensive scheme (ability to both catch and run the ball).

In case we don't re-sign J Jones (which we probably won't), we don't necessarily have to mortgage the house to get a top shelf RB next year.

I think Addai was one of the last picks in the 1st round of the draft when he came out.

I think a solid, very effective back can be had in the 2nd half of the 1st round as well as later on in the draft.

I admit Addai is no A Peterson, but you can win a Super Bowl with a quality back like Addai.

(Sorry, not sure if this should be in the Draft Zone.)

Agreed. Can you imagine if the Pats had taken Addai instead of Maroney?

how good was edge when he was playing for the colts?
I suspect it has a little to do with the system

You know if Felix Jones comes out, I wouldn't be against taking him late first.

Anyone who catches the ball like he does and averages 9.0 yards a carry is worth a shot.

Yes, maybe.

But the Cardinals are just typically so bad it's so hard to judge what happens to players when they go there. Is it that the players decline (or were overrated in the first place) or is it that the pitiful franchise sucks the life out of football players?

I've been thinking about the draft some lately as well. I think replacing JJ is a top priority, but if we don't go after McFadden, then we should look at a speedy compliment to MBIII. Someone like Slaton could be a great combo.

Would you compare Slaton to W. Dunn of the Falcons? Or to C Portis perhaps?

I'd love to get Jones with the 32nd pick (and Jerry will be all over any former Razorback). If he comes out this year he's going to be criminally undervalued because he was his team's #2 back in college, not unlike the way MB3 was underrated because he split carries with Lawrence Maroney. He's averaging 9+ yards per carry, he's a great threat out of the backfield as a WR and he's a phenomenal kick returner. I just wonder how much his stock is going to rise after the Combine, because I could see him running in the 4.3+ range.

You would think he would probably want to stay in school and have a year to showcase himself without McFadden, but when Arkansas is changing coaches he might decide he doesn't want to deal with all the unknowns.
