With the spot that Vickers left, who or what position do you think we will address? I'm thinking competition at back up QB.....your thoughts?

The thing about the open spot (well, sorta open, there are what, 90 people going to be in camp?), there is plenty of time to determine who deserves it and wants it the most...it could be just about any position on the team and that leaves options for the coaching staff to motivate people...

Probably Rosario. If they aren't keeping a FB, they will keep 4 tE.

I think they were always going to keep four TEs. Good question about the open spot. There's plenty of time but it'll be interesting to see who they add. A vet??

Probably many spots open, but surely one spot vacated.

Rosario was out of a job because San Deigo signed Cowboy's castoff John Pnillips. Now Rosario is a lock to make the roster?

I don't think John Phillips was a "cast-off," I think it is just a matter of dollars. With the Salary cap, you can't keep everybody, and Rosario was cheaper.

And, just as a side note, "Half of the population has below average intelligence" is not as obvious as it seems and probably not true. If the genius people outnumber the ********, the average will be higher than the mid-point of the population numerically speaking, and more than half of the population will have below average intelligence. "Half of the population is at or below the median intelligence" is an accurate statement. If ten people test and score this way:
1= 20
2= 20
3= 20
4= 20
5= 19
6= 18
7= 17
8= 16
9= 15
10= 14

This gives a 17.9 Average but actually, only 4 scored lower than the average.
The median (the split point separating half of the population) score was 18.5. That puts half below the median.
(With that said, if everybody could be tested, I believe that more than half of the population would show below average intelligence.) Pardon my late-night attempt at humor. :)

I believe we've already addressed the vacancy left by Vickers with the addition of TE Dante Rosario.
There'll be no replenishing of the FB position. The two TE offense is where it's at these days.

I believe Rosario was acquired largely for his contributions on the special teams. He has a close familiarity with the schemes of ST Coach Rich Bisaccia. His contributions on the field as a TE are actually most likely to be highly limited. Witten, Hanna and Escobar are there to handle that, although it's been mentioned Rosario may possibly be utilized to a limited degree in an H-back role. Phillips didn't replace Rosario -- Escobar replaced Phillips.

Rosario was already on the roster. Currently there are 89 players. I believe the OP was asking who fills that 90th spot. There may be another soon if Brent is placed on the suspended list.

Maybe they will wait for the conditioning tests. See what positions they need to fill in until, anyone, if anyone needs to get in shape.
