One thing I really like about the offense in preseason...

Is their screen passing game. It's as sharp as I've seen it in the past 30 years. The RB's, particularly Morris, do a good job of selling the block and then getting lost in the trash. The O-Line, both the starters and backups, do a great job of selling it. And both Prescott and Showers have timed it well and thrown the passes accurately.

It's been real fun to watch beautiful execution on the screens for once. A good screen passing game can do a lot of things for the offense. Hopefully it shows up during season.

Agreed. I thought the screen game was something they could improve upon. I'd like to see them use rub routes more like the Pats but at this point, it's hard to find much to complain about with the offense.

They should be very, very good this year.

Romo is terrible at the screen game, he has no touch and feel for it.Dak on the other hand is already very good at it.

The offensive line is really working in sync now on this. When it's timed well, those are some heavy-duty road graters out there for the back to run behind. Dunbar should be really good with these, too.

It's pretty clear that blitzing this team is defensive suicide. And teams are going to have to double Dez or he'll eat them alive. Playing two deep a lot will be required, but that will only open up the run game. There's really no good option for the defense.

I like that Dak has scored every time he has possession but 1 time in the first game

I think the one area where Dak might legitimately be better than Romo is screen passes. He has shown a great touch on them.

So put in a Dak package to runs screens........just kidding......

I've been thinking that myself . . . he also knows just when to release the ball for maximum effect. There's an art to it for sure.

The playaction and playaction bootlegs have been nice as well.

I expect all of these things to disapear with the preseason.

The playcalling has been so atrocious around here that I just don't expect them to ever get this thing up to a NFL level.

The screen pass to Escobar good for about 7 every time. Not sure if you would call it a screen but the quick pass to Beasley with Dez as a lead blocker are easy yards as well.
