One thing I thought was laughable

Anybody notice everytime the ball was thrown to Steve Smith and one Cowboy or another kept him from getting the ball how Mr. Keith Davis was always getting into his face while he was on the ground.

I like that they played him tough...but I was thinking that I would like to take Davis aside and tell him...it is not too hard to make those plays on Smith when you are double teaming him every play :D .

Hey, it's all psychological man. Smith was getting pissed, you could tell. After just about every pass play which resulted in him not getting the ball he cried like a little girl. The fact he managed to get himself booted out of the game shows he let his buttons get pushed. What a crybaby.

Ohhh yea.

I think Davis giving him hell all game really had alot to do with it. But to be honest, man Smith was getting open on some of the plays when they would run him across the middle and running routes that were deep.

Steve Smith has been getting double teamed on every play since the season began, it hasn't stopped him much to this point.

I understand that...

If I am Mr. Zimmer and I roll double coverage to Smith's side, I expect my corner and safety to.....GET ERRRR DONE!!!!

Im just a competitive guy. I would not be talking noise to a guy I am helping to double cover on each play...but that is me.

Steve Smith getting ejected was a joke. It had nothing to do with what Keith Davis was doing or saying, it had to do with his completely harmless "touching" of the official. If he went nuts and attacked the official, maybe you could say something, but he had no malicious intent, and it was a joke he got ejected.

You don't know what he said to the ref. That's probably what got him ejected. If I didn't know better I'd think you were mad that we won.

Yep, the ref didn't grab for his flag when Smith touched him. He grabed for his flag once Steve Smith said what he had to say. The play before that he was jumping up and down and screaming at the Panthers sideline like a petulant kid. He's had a long history of anger problems, and he completely lost his composure. He has no one to blame but himself.

Haha, yes, I'm mad that we won because I think Steve Smith was treated unfairly.

You can be a fan of a team and still look at things realistically. If the Panthers were playing the Saints today and that happened, I bet most of you would be saying it was stupid. But since he was playing the Cowboys, of course he was completely out of line and should be banned for 3 years minimum.

Given Smith's history of anger management problems, it wouldn't surprise me of Keith Davis was encouraged to attempt some "verbal distraction techniques".

Steve Smith did nothing except catch a pass on a playaction that our defense shouldn't have bit on to begin with because Carolina has no running game whatsoever.

Stevey got completey shut down aside from that. Was he ever open? Yeah, but so was Keyshawn, their QBs just couldn't get the ball in there. Smith was being a little bish all day, it wouldn't surprise me if he dropped one too many F bombs on the ref over the course of the game and they finally just had enough. But neither of us will never know because nobody in the area was mic'd.

I thoguht it was funny that all the defense that was over there when the ref threw the flag started making fun of him getting the penalty and getting ejected.

Rules are rules, and he knew it beforehand.

there was one replay they showed that if you look really close you can see the ref saying calm down , and smith saying **** off . so smith not only grabbed the ref but told him to **** off. right after smith said it he knew he made a mistake because he instantly tried to walk away like nothing occurred.

i think davis with his taunting did get into smith's head alittle bit, but he's still a liablity in coverage.

What I don't understand is how can we shut down S. Smith, but yet let S. Moss blow us up not once but twice.I just don't get it.
