Defensive cuts will be hell this year.

It will be really hard not to keep 7 DL and 10 LBs.

Some 3-4 team is going to be pumped with the type of player they get.

Jason Williams just looks a little to light in the britches to play in this defense IMO.

He can play no doubt though but I would hate to get rid of the Tech guy because he is the prototypical player for us @ MLB.

Can't wait to see Sean Lee.

This defense is really loaded, especially at LB.

Some teams are gonna get a good player or three from us unless we're able to work out a few trades.

I was really impressed with what I saw on defense at all levels. Front, LB and secondary. They can all really run and the tackling was good.

Sharpe was a DE at Tech. Unless you are saying he has prototypical size - 6'1 250? Jason Williams was playing the WILB spot and was running w/a TE on that INT. If Sharpe missed it, Jason Williams would have had a shot at it too.

Im not talking about just that.

I thought Sharpe was better at taking on blockers in the run game as well.

I saw Williams getting pushed around a little more.

I think a lot of people are confusing #58 Jason Williams with #52 Leon Williams. One will be a nickel LB for us this year and one will be working at Walmart within a couple weeks.

I was very impressed as well. I keep thinking it took a while, but Wade finally has his defense together w/ his type of players.

You know what? It was Leon Williams. My bad.

I need to go back and watch the game on my DVR because I thought 52 was Jason Williams the whole time. Thanks for the heads up.

I didnt see the Bengals pushing around anybody.

We *****slapped their offense tonight, and it wasnt just from the starters (who played only one series). I think we had 11 backups on the field and stoned their first team offense on that 2nd series.

We have ALOT of "Williams" on this team.

And 3 of them play LB.

Agreed. The team looks absolutely stacked at LB/DL/WR and TE (Assuming Phillips is OK). There's going to be a good amount of players that will be cut that can easily make other teams' rosters.

Makes it all the more hard to swallow carrying 2 kickers (and 3 QBs). You're going to cut a good player to carry those specialists.

I was definetely impressed with Victor Butler, Brandon Williams, and Curtis Johnson.

I hope we don't have to cut 1 of those guys.

Also its strange that Brandon Williams has such a good initial burst but has no 3rd gear.

Brandon Sloooooow Mooooo Williams. Was that an offensive lineman catching him from behind?

I havent seen an uopdate on it yet, but I think it was Curtis Johnson who got hurt at the end of that Shipley punt return.

IIRC Williams didnt run a really good 40 time, but he does have an explosive first step and short area burst.

I think he got tackled by the QB, Palmer's little brother. I was yelling for BW to run him over.

DL cuts won't be that hard but the team will be cutting quality LB's to trim to 53 that's for sure. Hopefully we can keep some on the Practice Squad like Brandon Sharp and Curtis Johnson if he is still eligible. Brandon Williams, Butler, and Octavien all make the roster this season.
