They built just enough of them to qualify the car for the NASCAR circuit. Richard Petty I believe cleaned up that year.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it came with a 440. Straight Hemi.

There are very few of these cars today, and they command insane money at auctions.

I saw an auction on ebay for a Daytona once. It was pretty much nothing more then a big, giant pile of rust, and it went for 12K. It would take a miracle to bring that car back from the dead, and the dude still got 12K for it. Amazing.


Numbers matching, completely restored, etc... we're talking 600,000K ish.


Just did a search on Ebay and there's none for auction right now. Bummer.
