I absolutely hate the first pre-season games....

We wait so long for football and even though we know it will not be "real" football we get sucked in every single year anyways.

At least this year we have some young guys to look out for but I fully expect to spend most of the game watching guys I have only ever heard of when we signed them.

and then the sky if falling starts. Why aren't the cowboys going deep, why aren't they blitzing more, why are they runnning to the right so much, etc etc etc...it's preseason, they don't scheme, the game is for evaluating players for the 53 man roster, it's not about scoring or winning these games, so don't go completely overboard about what you see in the game, it happens every year, people get all bent out of shape about these games and what the team does in them, it means nothing in the long run...

I don't mind that so much, because we know it's barely real football.

What I hate is how it usually turns into a sponsor-fest. It's like one big infomercial instead of a football game.

I'm in South Carolina, do sports bars show preseason games? I always go to Buffalo Wild Wings with my buddies during the season. If they don't show preseason I guess I'll just buy it on NFL.com for 20$

If not BWW, then surely some sports bar around there would probably have all or most of the preseason games, I would think...

I guess I'm different. I love them. It's the first shot of football and let's us see our young guys and how they perform on the field.
