If you could go anywhere in the Continental USA, excluding Hawaii or Alaska, and had a one week paid vacation, where would you like to go? You are allowed two adults and two or three children.

Key West? I like the outdoors so I have to do some fishing and some kind of hiking/sight seeing.

I know you said excluding Hawaii, but my week long vacations are in Oahu, Hawaii. You can do almost everything and the week goes by fast. Hiking, fishing, eating, then Waikiki for bars and shopping (for the girls).

Colorado. Pound for pound the prettiest state in the US in my opinion. Love the rafting, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, fishing, skiing, and general outdoors. Great quirky towns like Boulder, Steam Boat Springs, Durango, and Silverton are fun to visit and have a cool night life.

I really like the West Coast too. Northern California, Oregon, and Washington are amazing.

JIMMYBUFFETT did not mention Key West. I find that odd.

San Francisco Bay Area. Beautiful place, and a short drive from many other wonderful places.

I'd take them back to the BWCA, but a completely different route as last time.

once you have the gear needed, it is the cheapest vacation imaginable too.

Here, hands down! I've spent 2, 2-week stays here w/ 2 other couples, and it's soooo worth the $$$, words can't even justify it.

I enjoyed my weeklong vacay in Colorado so that place is def a contender.

However, I think it'd be Cali. I've never been there. And I think I'd consider driving up the Western seaboard.

I'd like to hike as much of the Appalachian trail as I could fit in, then come back the next year and hike another segment, etc. The topography is really varied and interesting.

Been to most of the USA vacation spots and states but there is one place I hear is beautiful.....Utah. Would love to hike, raft and fish there someday.

You can never go wrong in the Florida Keys tho :)

If I didn't live in Cali, I would say a ride along the PCH, but been there, done that many times.

Orlando. Would love to take the family there, and would love it even more if someone else was paying those ridiculous prices.

Key west is great, love the fishing. My grandparents have a house on the ocean on little torch key. It's about a 15 min drive to key west (if that), its the key right before key west. Ill be heading down there on the 17th for 2 weeks. Once you go you'll be spoiled. I used to love my trips to just panama or Daytona beach, the keys just spoiled the hell out of me so much that its hard to just enjoy Daytona or panama anymorw.

+1 for Yellowstone, with flyrod in hand. A zillion rivers, streams and lakes to fish, if you're up for dodging the grizzlies.

I love the Appalachian Trail suggestion too, I've been wanting to do that for some time now.

Orlando and/or Key West.

You can't go wrong especially if you have little ones with you.

Depends on the time of year.

If it's the first warm week of Spring, I'm looking to NYC.

If it's early September, I'm looking at Myrtle Beach.

But in general, San Diego.
