Great quirky towns like Boulder, Steam Boat Springs, Durango, and Silverton are fun to visit and have a cool night life.
I really like the West Coast too. Northern California, Oregon, and Washington are amazing.

I enjoyed my weeklong vacay in Colorado so that place is def a contender.JIMMYBUFFETT;5074310 said:Colorado. Pound for pound the prettiest state in the US in my opinion. I know you said excluding Hawaii, but my week long vacations are in Oahu, Hawaii. You can do almost everything and the week goes by fast. Hiking, fishing, eating, then Waikiki for bars and shopping (for the girls).
