Physicality!!

when we were hitting receivers against Indy and then the Bucs and then again against Atlanta... we did pretty good.

I think Physicality!! will do wonders for us...

we cant have receivers having "carte blanche" on the field... gotta break up their timing, redirect their routes... hit them real, real hard... make them think twice about going for the ball.

I think the difference with the Colts and Bucs compared with other teams is that those teams had stationary quarterbacks.

Manning does not like to scramble, and he gets happy feet. Plus, his more a rhythm passer. That works to our advantage because we can get to the quarterback if he's just standing there (like Bledsoe). But once QBs move in the pocket, like Brees, Vick, Garcia and Kitna did, they have more time to pick apart our secondary.

Gradkowski was a rookie so he really wasn't used to reading defenses on the fly nor delivering the ball with a heavy rush on him.

Hasselbeck is more experienced and seasoned. We will have to get some pressure on him. That's the only way we're going to prevent him from picking us apart.

Our defense thinks too much... Guys are out there playing not to lose. Against the Colts we had nothing to lose and everything to gain, and they played their best game of the season. I wish this team would just start relaxing and playing their game. Guys look tense, and I'd like to see Spears and Canty try a spin move. They just plow ahead into tackles and get mangled every play. Unless Canty makes his traditional one tackle for a loss and does some ignorant celebration.

This I will agree with! This team always seems to play "not to lose"!

They should pin their ears back...and what happens, happens! It they lose again? At least it will be because they were not "scared to lose"!
