There are several words in the English language that can be used to describe the state of the Dallas Cowboys, but only one word is actually needed.

Undisciplined.

The rot starts at the very top and works its way down through the entire organization. The sad truth is that this has been the case for decades now.

Think back to the late 1990s, after the Jimmy Johnson team that won three Super Bowls began to retire or move on to other teams.

Check out A Football Life: Troy Aikman, where they show a clip of Aikman ripping the coaching of the Cowboys under Barry Switzer. It’s one of the earliest examples of what I’m talking about.

It’s a common refrain in Texas. “That boy is all hat and no cattle.”

You’re telling me no one mentioned during the construction of AT&T Stadium how bad an idea it was to have a wall of windows facing west would be?

Discipline is what the losing failures stem from on the carpet. Both for the staff and the players.

Eliminate the turn-overs, a discipline cause, and the offense has a chance to beat Atlanta. The win is on the offense for this game...

Oh, and if I were you I wouldn't thunder a comment of boring.

The penalties especially on ST are a lack of fundamentals . After Goodwin had back to back penalties on a kickoff most coaches would have him take a seat .

There's a lot of good teams that get highly penalized I don't know what you mean by discipline but you do realize the Seattle Seahawks their Super Bowl with Russell Wilson all this apparently discipline coaches you know from the outside they were the most penalized team in the league the year they won that Super Bowl...

Some of this is on the players this is a really fast game that when you're trying to do your job and sometimes you make a mistake but a lot of this is on the referees this is on the league they're calling a lot of penalties on some teams and not a lot on others and they pick their moments to call these penalties and we realize they can call penalties on every play if they wanted to but they choose when to do it and who to do it to in order to help control some games I'm not calling it rigged but I'm gonna tell you right now when they picked up those two flags that were thrown on kittles for OPI or on that play to kittles in the end zone you can tell right there that should have never been picked up are you kidding me when two different referees saw the same infraction and decide to pick it up I mean there were seven of those that weren't called on the Saints in the Saints game this year against us go back and look one of them was a face mask I mean how do they miss the face mask on the Minnesota Vikings I mean Sam darnold got his face almost turned around backwards in the end zone when it had affected the game I don't know but that team wasn't penalized for it so This is why at the end of the year it looks like some genes are just undisciplined and others aren't no I'd say the league has most of the control on how that goes...

Seems to me certain crews especially in the prime time games like on Thursday Night Football Monday Night Football in special football days it seems like they really like to be on TV they throw a lot more flags during those games then they do some noon game.

So this is just another thread in my opinion just bag on the front office we only have 75 of those on the 1st 3 pages you couldn't just put that under there you had to have your own or did they pay you special to write this maybe you're part of the content creators here and I missed it but either way this at least of our problems...

Lots of teams have to overcome penalties and being behind the chains or unfair calls that weren't called or that were called and they shouldn't it's just been one of those runs the last few years the referee seemed to be on a roll they're looking at this is like a reality TV show to get the faces on TV or something but it's getting old and by the way I like the recommendation from some fan bases that say these guys should have to answer to their bad play on the field as well we're talking about the referees the umpires when they don't get the ball set right when they miss plays that should be called when it's about player safety and all of a sudden it's not or some of the ones that were called and shouldn't have they should to do an interview after every game and answer questions from the media just like our players and coaches do they also should be disciplined and fined just like our players and coaches do some of them need to be fired and demoted just like our players and coaches and they're not so yes our team apparently looks like they're one of the more undisciplined teams but again there are some Super Bowl teams and again you wanna talk about our quarterback and I gotta keep going back to there have been several Hall of Fame quarterbacks have led the league in interceptions many many years like some of them multiple years but Matthew stafford's the most recent the man led the league in interceptions he threw 2 interceptions in the Super bowl but we throw that under the rug the fact that Patrick mahomes has more interceptions and touchdowns this year but we don't talk about it because he's on a team that appears to be more disciplined but is it I mean when Patrick mahomes be having i'd say his worst 12 games as a professional and nobody's talking about it.. hmmmm

That is aspects of looks at undisciplined. Mix penalties with players handed their butts in play and we are back to a need for discipline.

You're not getting that in this day and age like you think Bill Belichick Jimmy Johnson coaches like that there aren't many left you can't sit players this isn't high school hell it's not even college where you have choices with talent sitting there that you can replace them with these are players with $1,000,000 and more contracts when they get a half a billion dollars you can't discipline them in the way you think besides the fact that they're being unduly picked on because there's a lot of moving parts in the team game there are people making mistakes that you don't see during the game because you don't watch tape like coaches do they know whether it was the corner or whether the safety that made the mistake or who lined up wrong who ran the wrong route because some of these balls that might be intercepted was not on the quarterback when he threw the ball he thought he was throwing it to where the receiver was supposed to go but no one knows this nobody knows what the blocking scheme was supposed to be or what that was supposed to go in but I can tell you right now I just said it you can't control most of the penalties you can do the best job you can but most teams are committing penalties on every single play just some are being overlooked and others are not some of the crews are heavy on the flags and some are not...

And I just said it there are some of the best players in the world that have done the same things Deion Sanders did not tackle there are a lot of businesses being made by some players like that they don't go up and tackle they just cover we've seen some of the best offensive lineman missed blocks get penalties we've seen lots of quarterbacks in the Hall of Fame have a ton of interceptions we just saw it with Matthew Stafford led the league at interceptions through two in the Super bowl and still won the damn Super Bowl because this is about the team it's about moving parts it's a team game you can't control oh penalties you can just preach them but once the game starts you don't do anything you can't sit superstars Jimmy Johnson and bill Parcells never really cut a superstar in their prime either they made examples at a lower hanging fruit on the team I guarantee it north Dallas 40 Landry did not discipline players like you think not the good ones you may have thought that in public but you know what goes on behind the scenes we saw all the north Dallas 40 we saw all the White House stuff happened we saw guys like I don't know one of the best linebackers ever play the game in Lawrence knowingly partying before games the night before doing coke and drugs during games did he ever get cut?!!

tell back then players didn't even get disciplined if they were superstars..BMOC in full effect most never got arrested this day and age we know more 24-7-365 coverage , TMZ , over situation of social media they're following everyone and in turn the League Changed the way they discipline players, trust me this nonsense went on in all eras just we are now aware of all of it now and people are not getting away with it anymore...

Like I said the Seattle Seahawks won a damn Super Bowl being the most penalized team that year The thing is great teams can overcome that they were a great team they hid these things like I said Matthew Stafford through a lot of interceptions let the league through two in the servo team still won that's the problem right here you guys think this is the reason we're losing now the reason we're losing is we don't have enough talent and the better coaching staff or elsewhere they're not here you can't overcome stuff when you lack talent have a lot of injuries and your coaching Staffs are just not on par with the best that's a fact.

I think there is still a lot of talent on the roster.

To the other descriptions, they are manageable by leadership. Especially with the wages being paid compared to other job categories today.

The team could still right the team. I give them a full window to succeed or fall under the standard of accountability I have given them for this specific season.

Accountability is upon both the staff and players. The team is undisciplined in play and that is exactly the leadership issue on the table, here and now.

If you are a fan of sport, there is still plenty of motivation provided.

Your feeling is your own.

They also pretty well took the field in time of possession and total yardage. Specifics of a singular element don't change a team's team effect.

This Dallas team without doubt needs the guts of discipline. That, or right now, they achieve losing even if close.

Disjointed, I'm really not interested in midget wrestling. If you can't grasp the reason for this statement...quit reading then.
