There are several words in the English language that can be used to describe the state of the Dallas Cowboys, but only one word is actually needed.

Undisciplined.

The rot starts at the very top and works its way down through the entire organization. The sad truth is that this has been the case for decades now.

Think back to the late 1990s, after the Jimmy Johnson team that won three Super Bowls began to retire or move on to other teams.

Check out A Football Life: Troy Aikman, where they show a clip of Aikman ripping the coaching of the Cowboys under Barry Switzer. It’s one of the earliest examples of what I’m talking about.
Go root for another team

The team could still right the team. I give them a full window to succeed or fall under the standard of accountability I have given them for this specific season.

Accountability is upon both the staff and players. The team is undisciplined in play and that is exactly the leadership issue on the table, here and now.

If you are a fan of sport, there is still plenty of motivation provided.

Your feeling is your own.
My feeling is the same that many cowboys fans feel - totally bored with this organization and the lack of anything intriguing to be excited about.

Pete Carrol was a damn good coach. He overcame the penalties with a great defense. Offense wasn't what I would call dominating. Efficient, yes. Discipline can be acquired in other ways. Look at the Lions coach. Work brings discipline. Hard work. Unlike camp cupcake.

Accountability is a better word.

You forgot they are also overrated, overpaid, and wimps to boot as they can only man up against dog teams and run like a scared bully when real teams show up to play.
It's a Jerry..............

I'd go with "unaccountable" which is similar to undisciplined. Accountability goes out the window the moment Jerry starts undermining his HC which generally starts happening while the ink is drying on the contract, sometimes even before the contract is drawn up. When a player like Zeke complains to the owner about playing time and gets more playing time as a result it just shows there is no accountability in this organization.

In many ways I feel like this team has it all. Talent, discipline, dedication, focus, passion, vision. You name it and this team has it. The thing is that we as fans believe that winning football games and winning the superbowl is the ultimate goal. This is false. The players, coaches and management year after year have been meeting and exceeding their personal goals. Everyone on an individual level is thrilled with how things are going. Your expectations simply do not align with the goals of the individuals involved.

This is a team that last year viewed a playoff game as an unpaid hinderance to their own goals and in spite of that was generally rewarded for it from top to bottom.

I try to follow team managing concepts that I can first and ride out potentials in the game.

I do understand your frustrations. That doesn't need a justification for your own view. Sorry guy...:starspin:

They also pretty well took the field in time of possession and total yardage. Specifics of a singular element don't change a team's team effect.

This Dallas team without doubt needs the guts of discipline. That, or right now, they achieve losing even if close.

Disjointed, I'm really not interested in midget wrestling. If you can't grasp the reason for this statement...quit reading then.
Sure the way the team is now they're not allowed to make a single mistake they nearly have to play perfect no penalties no turnovers because they're not good enough to overcome anything you want to say that I'll agree but that's not how teams are set up I just mentioned a whole bunch and there's more than that I sit and watch players like Patrick mahomes this year and actually the end of last year including the playoffs in the Super bowl make mistakes not play well in the first half and you know what they do they get the run game going they play defense they make some impact plays on special teams they out coach the other team and they win that's my point you're asking our team to play nearly perfect in order to win a game or even stay in a game and that's a sad state of affairs ev.... mistakes if they want to win any games....

But let me be clear even when Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman were in the playoffs and through interceptions when somebody fumble when they made mistakes they didn't panic and they had good enough teams and coaching staff to overcome it because yes they they also had penalties they also made mistakes nobody looked over at each other and said you better have a perfect game are we gonna lose and then you're gonna have to come on social media and hear fans RIP on players individually as if they could overcome the massive team deficiencies by playing perfect you got a mask all your deficiencies by not making a mistake.lmao

and therein lies the problem...
