Why are all deals so far one year deals? Is management trying to tell us something??

I can only hope Jimmy Johnson talked some sense into Jerry and said this is no bueno do not under any circumstances extend Dak and the old stubborn owner actually listened.

CAN YOU PLEASE SAY THIS AGAIN!!!!!! It would be epic if he did

Its how they operate

Extend their big time players, draft players and sign one year deals.

Been this way for several years
I mean sort of. It’s too small a sample size so far to say 100% what’s going on but if you look back they gave several multi year deals.

2023 - LVE, Rush, Wilson, Cooks(trade)
2022 - Turpin, Armstrong, Kearse, Gallup, anger, Hooker,
2021 - Basham, Prescott, Goodwin, lewis
2020 - Cobb, Cooper, Jarwin, brown

As mentioned it’s too early to make conclusions but it is something to keep an eye on

Well kaboom why would Dak or anyone else want to stay here
Make Dak feel uncomfortable and accept a trade. Alternatively, as it's, in effect his contract year, why spend heavily to highlight his talents (or mask his weaknesses, if you prefer).

Part of the whole inactivity is connected to Dak ....and Jerry being somewhat "cutting off nose...." as Dak wont re-sign, unless it's on his terms.

Then again Jerry may just want to reset the CAP.

If you believe guys like Fisher he may not. He's reported he and France aren't interesting in talking. They're leaning towards hitting Free Agency and letting the market bid.
I think DC.com, possibly .'No.C' Walker said the same thing.

No. That is just the way teams handle FA now. The big names will get more years.

Go back and look and the FA signings and you will see many 1 year deals.

It's far from a Cowboys thing.
