Most Offense-Created Points This Weekend
Vikings, 39
Dallas, 34
Jacksonville, 34

Bengals, 34
Bills, 32
Chiefs, 30

*Colts only had one offensive TD, and bunch of field goals.

Already this weekend eleven teams have failed to score more than 20!

Trying to hang this loss on Dak or Kellen Moore is childish. Cowboys offense was strong...but lost because of poor defense.

Thanks for the poor attempt trying to put lipstick on this pig. The object of the game is score MORE than your opponent. Mission failed miserably. Poor TEAM effort. Including your Dak, he put in his two cents worth. Turned out to be slugs.

you mean Dak “Pick 6” Prescott shouldn’t be to blame? Or when he threw a pick in his own territory?

Good point.

You can't just say how many points the offense scored, you have to say how many points and possessions they gave away. How many drives they failed to produce and simply gave back the ball.
Like, I don't know, using up less than 30 seconds and no opponent time outs on a drive in the final 2 minutes when you've got the lead and just need to milk clock.
Or giving up a pick 6 in sudden death in OT.

They do have metrics for this. Expected Points Added. Win Probability Added. Pick 6 INT in OT gonna be pretty brutal on the WPA.

Anyone blaming the OT pick six on Dak is either agenda-driven or clueless. The ball bounced off Brown's chest.

Dak's second half was a step back from his first half, though. The first pick was inexcusable.

Meanwhile, the defense got torched in the second half. Cornerbacks have become an issue.

.....and everyone on the list Won except us. The other teams gave up points on D also, but they didn't have bonehead plays or poor situtuational football to explain.

Vikings, Jags, Bengals, Bills, Chiefs didn't give up:
26 first downs
503 yards

...as did the Cowboys defense. If folks here want to blame the defensive effort, the play of Kelvin Joseph, the lack of LVE, or pinpoint something else on the defensive side....might make a lot of sense. Blaming an offense that had 400 yards, 34 points...doesn't compute.

I think it was a combination of things. No pass rush. Poor coverage by all the DBs. Quick passes by the opposing offense. I think Quinn is worried about the backup corners so he plays them a little soft. This leaves receivers open underneath and QBs are killing us with the short passes for 7 yards setting up 3rd and short situations. The Jags were 8-12 today on 3rd down and that's because the Jags were rarely in 3rd and long situations. With 3 meaningless games left, Quinn should let the CBs play tight and take away the short routes. Give the DL times to get some sacks, or at least pressure.

I can't argue that at all, and agree......but we had opportunities on offense that failed to sustain drives, field position plays (situational football) and late clock management got atrocious......downright atrocious.

Bengals (with a building OL) ran a clinic on clock management in the 4th quarter yesterday.

Last possession of regulation Moore called a terrible slow developing run play on 1st down that lets the DE unblocked in play scheme then calls terrible pass play. Line up under center and run behind Martin/Smith. And maybe on 3rd down run a bootleg to give Dak an easy throw if receiver is wide open or just keep it and make them use final timeout, Then punt it deep.

The game was completely decided quite early in the 4th quarter. Bengals are two tiers better as a team. Not sure a "time clinic" had much to do with it.

Anyways...just my opinion.
