Dak is not going anywhere in 2023.

It is highly unlikely that Moore is replaced as OC.
- There aren't any Kyle Shanahan types available as OC...

That leaves upgrading the offensive talent.

An elite veteran WR would be the safe option.
- They need Moore experience with regards to route running.
- How much to trade for DeAndre Hopkins?
- Is OBJ a good option?

Cut Zeke.
Draft a RB.
Franchise Pollard.

Move on from Schultz.
- Ferguson likely just as good.
- If an elite TE is BPA, then draft that player.

WR may come in the draft, I don't expect us to break the bank for anyone in free agency.

Can't afford another receiver with cedees contract coming up soon. Paying Gallup way too much for what he's giving you. But nothing you can do about that now.

Chances are the team will not be as good next year. They won't have the money with daks cap hit shooting up to nearly 50 million. 52 million the next year. Second only to deshaun Watson.

Dak is going to be Dak regardless of the receivers. Your best option is to try and improve the oline and defensive tackle position.

Cut Zeke. Let schultz walk. Tag Pollard if you think he's healthy. Draft an early round RB to split time and take over the following year when Pollard walks.

Gallup can be cut next year, he is clearly no 2 he never was.
Do you think the team has already made the decision to cut him in 2024? I doubt it. They won’t commit big money to another receiver this off-season. Re-signing Schultz would probably be their top priority for pass catcher and I bet they even let him walk.

Mel Kiper’s mock draft this week. He has the Cowboys selecting University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the 26th overall pick.

26. Dallas Cowboys
Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

This just makes sense, right? Team owner Jerry Jones loves star running backs, going back to his days of drafting Emmitt Smith in Round 1 in 1990, and he repeatedly has said Ezekiel Elliott is the Cowboys’ most important player. Well, Elliott could be a salary-cap casualty this offseason, and Tony Pollard — who made the Pro Bowl this season — broke his left leg in the divisional round and is a free agent. Could Jones and the Cowboys start over and take Robinson, the best back in this class, here? Robinson also is a great pass-catcher, so he’s more than just a between-the-tackles runner. He could also take some of the pressure off quarterback Dak Prescott.
I thought hard about defensive tackle with this pick, with Bryan Bresee (Clemson) and Mazi Smith (Michigan) as two possibilities. Dallas struggled at times stopping the run.

We've seen that talent can't overcome a bad quarterback. At some point he will have to be depended on, and you can't do that with Dak.
Load the offense all you want, but with the quarterback position being such an important spot, it will be hard to win in spite of him.

That doesn't mean you don't draft one if there's one available , this team needs to prepare to move on from him.

Disagree about Zeke and Pollard. Do Not tag Pollard. Need to see his recovery from broken leg.
Zeke takes pay cut, and draft a RB.

Invest the $$$ from tagging Pollard in the OL. Offer Pollard a 1 year incentive laden contract. Or 2 year reasonable paid contract with incentives.

I dont care if they keep him or not but for the life of me I cant understand how you can watch zeke game in and game out and still say ya I want him to be the guy. Daks got issues but he does occassionally look all world. he just craps the bed in big games. zeke does 1 thing and that get 4th and 1s. Oh wait he can snap the ball also

I disagree. Take a bath this year. Don't restructure Dak, even though his $49M cap hit will mean you field a weaker team. Get yourself in position to cut him loose in 2024.

Meantime, draft a QB and more beef.
Actually I would tell Dak the team is going in a different direction and he will not be the starting QB and may be inactive for games, tell him his agent is welcome to seek a trade. See what he does as he holds the cards, will not happen as Jerry will not admit he made a mistake

Trading him this year would cause him to count an additional $40M against the cap ($89M total). It will have to wait until next year, when getting rid of him will save $12M against the cap (assuming no restructure this year), even though we'll have to eat about $40M in dead money.
