Dak is not going anywhere in 2023.

It is highly unlikely that Moore is replaced as OC.
- There aren't any Kyle Shanahan types available as OC...

That leaves upgrading the offensive talent.

An elite veteran WR would be the safe option.
- They need Moore experience with regards to route running.
- How much to trade for DeAndre Hopkins?
- Is OBJ a good option?

Cut Zeke.
Draft a RB.
Franchise Pollard.

Move on from Schultz.
- Ferguson likely just as good.
- If an elite TE is BPA, then draft that player.
I agree. I want a new OC and system as well. This one has proven effective in regular season only.

I saw someone on Twitter saying draft Bijan Robinson at 26...I was initially thinking 2nd or 3rd round but if you can grab him and guarantee an upgrade at rb with it...do it.

Not on board with Hopkins...to much money and compensation. I am for finding a good young vet that has a year or two Ieft on his cheaper contract for a 2-4 round pick.

Ceedee is getting PAID next off-season. Gallup is already making a high salary for a #2. We need another good receiver but no way we spend a lot.
We can get out of Gallups deal after next year if he doesn't get back to form.

You need another RB, speedy receiver, and another TE that can actually get you some YAC.

I'm so sick of the FO's loyalty to Zeke and them defending that contract. Dude's averaging like 2.4 YPC in the postseason the last two years. That doesn't get it done.

I disagree. Take a bath this year. Don't restructure Dak, even though his $49M cap hit will mean you field a weaker team. Get yourself in position to cut him loose in 2024.

Meantime, draft a QB and more beef.
There is no chance in he'll that Dallas gives up on Dak this year.

None.

Build the best OL in the league. I want roadgraders for the RB's and a stone wall to protect Dak.

Get back to a dominant OL that imposes their will and wears down the defense.

If that means Tyron has to go, that's cool. Retread Peters - thanks for the help but you gotta go also.

All the backups/practice squad/hurt OL's should be on notice. Be ready to kick butt or your gone also.

Big and physical with a heaping dose of attitude. That's what I want the Cowboys to be.

Well they were willing to go for cooks if the Texans took on some salary…I’m not sure how much they wanted but there’s been mixed reports on whether the cowboys were ok giving up a 1st or not. Deandre Hopkins is 30 and costs $17 on the last year of his deal but reports yesterday say Arizona may be willing to eat some salary to make a trade happen.

I doubt that’s a move Dallas does but it’s out there and there was clearly interest in upgrading the position. Cooks will also be available. I’d let Schultz go.

I dont care if they keep him or not but for the life of me I cant understand how you can watch zeke game in and game out and still say ya I want him to be the guy. Daks got issues but he does occassionally look all world. he just craps the bed in big games. zeke does 1 thing and that get 4th and 1s. Oh wait he can snap the ball also
OL and offensive scheme and play calling on running plays has a lot to do with that. Pollard gets his yards to the outside, where Moore rarely calls plays for Zeke. Yes he lost a step, but he shown he can still hit the edge if given the blocking and opportunity.

Dak needs the Berlin Wall type OL to be effective.

I didn't suggest they would give up on him this year. But I am suggesting that it would be a mistake to restructure him and bind themselves to him beyond this year.
They are going to do it, imo.

Jerry literally made the comment after either the Philly game or TB, can't remember, that he wants that qb play for the next 10 years.

I took it as a hint.

Disagree about Zeke and Pollard. Do Not tag Pollard. Need to see his recovery from broken leg.
Zeke takes pay cut, and draft a RB.

Invest the $$$ from tagging Pollard in the OL. Offer Pollard a 1 year incentive laden contract. Or 2 year reasonable paid contract with incentives.
Only way Zeke should stay is if he saves the team salary cap space and then he is at best a short yardage back only.

Dak bumps his yearly salary down to $1. Jerry surrounds him with all pros

KM still calls curls and post routes and abandons the run game

But that doesnt contribute to daks issues? Dak needs WR's that can get open routinely. Pollard was getting yards inside as well. Zeke looks terrible now mind you i think early in year he had some burst. If we had to dump one of the 2 Zeke needs to go but my guess is both will be here as Dak has no trade clause

Well it is not the option but probably the most likely.

Unpopular opinion: but I wouldn’t even franchise Pollard. There’s no reason to spend $10 million on a RB. Especially in a bland offense that isn’t going to utilize Pollard to his full potential.

I guess so. We said after the off season that Jerry depleted the roster and while they were resilient all year long the lack of weapons reared its head in the playoffs, as we should have expected. But I think if Pollard doesn't get hurt the game may have turned out differently.

But overall, no weapons is a problem.

Oh good grief, it’s a fibula! There’s absolutely no question you tag him … none!

Agree with this, but would add I expect Jerry to try and sign OBJ as a priority. I expect Moore to return but perhaps the QBs coach to be replaced to give Dak a new voice to listen to (Jon Kitna would be ideal). Back up QB needs to be upgraded to push Dak.

Yup. I’d even draft a QB in the process to start developing.

I like the idea of a vet vs draft though for WR…Tolbert was a good prospect and just didn’t hit year 1. I’d sign a vet and draft a WR in rounds 2-4.

Mel Kiper’s mock draft this week. He has the Cowboys selecting University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the 26th overall pick.

If we tagged Pollard for year, it's excellent insurance iup to a long term in case we don't get in a position to draft Robinson in the first, - highly assuming the Cowboys are interested in
drafting Robinson with their 1st round pick at No.26th ? .. who knows where he will go - upper 1st or mid first rd.
.. much depends upon his pre-draft work out.
