That’s true especially now, John Fox ex Carolina coach was saying teams go to the middle of the field on the regular now because of rules and such. It makes it necessary to have a guy like ear Thomas out there at center field

We have the worst safeties in the NFL. Besides a great pass rush, this is the biggest factor in interceptions in my opinion. Safeties breaking up plays in the middle of the field, jumping routes, helping out on corners and picking passes. Also big hits and jarring the ball loose for fumbles.

If you have backups like Jeff Heath as your best safety you are screwed.

Its pretty obvious why. Our secondary has been horrid for years. But more than anything, our safeties are garbage. These are probably the worst safeties we have EVER had and certainly the worst safeties in the NFL.
