We didn't get a great matchup this year, with the NFC wild cards coming in hot. AFC wild cards? Not so much.

Packers were coming in 6-2 in the last 8 and Jordan Love putting up big numbers in December.

Rams were also hot, and nearly won as well. They arguably outplayed Detroit.

Philthy was as expected, given their late season meltdown.

Last year the division was the NFC Beast. This year the NFC East sucked azz.

That caused some smoke and mirrors with Cowboys 5-1 record. Also how they lost to Arizona and Buffalo showed that the team not as good as they seemed.

Also starting off the defense looked legit first 2 games..but that was just shutting out Danny Dimes and holding a Zach Wilson led team to 10 points.

The only game where I saw the refs screw the home team.....Bogus calls.....No calls. Watch enough football you can see the outcome...just watch how the game is being reffed
You’re blaming this game on the refs?

By far.. by a long long way.. our was the worst loss this weekend. There was no excuse for it.
Other losers this weekend:
Browns - were the walking wounded and on the road. Flacco literally off the couch and this game was closer than scores suggest.. Stroud on fire. Browns lost their QB, RB, WR and DL. It was amazing they even made the playoffs.
Dolphins - Imagine having to play Mahomes first up.. and in a blizzard when you are a warm weather team?? Tough match up with a predictable outcome. No disgrace here for a plucky miami team on the rebuild.
Rams - flip of a coin, both QBs played well.. both teams played well.. tightest game on paper before the round started and finished up that way. No disgrace in this loss.
Steelers - Lucky to be in the playoffs, big questions to be asked but got dispatched by the Bills who have been patchy this year but still widely tipped to be a SB level team. Pitt stayed as close as they could for as long as they could.
Iggies - Injuries really cut short their season as well as whatever is going on in the locker room. Probably the only other 'disappointment' game.. however Iggies have been on the slide for past two months and result was expected.

Cowboys - At home. Nearly full list available (and consistent for the past two months). 9 Pro Bowlers. Experienced QB. Experienced coach. Top 5 rated defence. And they didn't lose on a hail mary.. or a bad call.. or a 'catch that wasn't' .. no they got demoralised, pulverised, pummelled.

That isn't just losing in your own house.. that is screaming to the whole world that you haven't got any pride in yourself, your team mates or the organisation. They don't deserve the loyalty we give them. This team does not deserve us.

We have a rock star owner/GM - in his mind - and his son who are constant media attention ******; and they both interfere in personnel decisions and game planning. Is it any surprise this mentality trickles down to the players and in some respects the coaches? We have players more interested in promoting their "brand" on podcasts and commercials than in doing the hard work because they know they will be rewarded with cushy contracts despite not having won anything. This was the most embarrassing playoff loss that I can remember - and given the sorry state of this franchise for the past three decades, that's saying something. This team has nothing on the 1994 Cowboys - who despite falling behind 21-0 to the 49ers, fought their butts off to come back - and absent a pass interference call on Deion - they may have won that game. Can you imagine if that team had these mail-it-in-when-you-get-behind players on it. They would have been down 42-0 at halftime. Our inability to rise to the occasion and win relates to culture, which rots from the head down.

It really is funny how much attention the cowboys get when they have been so irrelevant to the post-season for so long except as a doormat.

Let it sink fellas, the only team to lose this weekend at home whereas all won their respective WC games at home with ease. That too we set a record of losing a 7th seed.
How about them Cowboys? lol i just laugh to cover the pain.

From now on, instead of those pre-game analysts all picking cowboys to win…just recall historical evidence and pick them to lose. That way…everyone can be pleasantly surprised if they win. We should be the underdog forever until we actually do something regardless of record. No one ever learns.

Thanks for all the insightful posts fellow Zoners, I had hopes of 1-2 home playoff victories this year , just based on the fact of teams play this year ( even though I was pointing out the fact we don’t play physical teams that well and it’s Achilles heel ).

But never again fall for the crap any more , it’s only show me if you can. We need change from top to bottom , tough players and tough coaches , who bring back physical play.
