It was good to see Derek Lowe picked up where he left off in September. The increase in slider usage seems to be paying big dividends. And of course it was awesome for J-Hey to go yard in his first at bat on consecutive opening days.

I'm also a Red's fan in the National League, I'm a Longhorns Football and Baseball fan. I always root for the Lobos because they are local but rarely are they good. I don't follow Pro Hockey much but if I did, I guess I'd probably be a Stars fan or an Aves fan. Geographically, they are both close to where I live, relatively speaking and I do follow them some what. I like the U.S.A. in Olympic Sports.
