Opinion: Adoree Jackson will be a Cowboy

I think he could be Hester like and be a serviceable CB....do I think he's a 1st round pick based on his CB play? Hell no. He's bad in man and gives up a ton of catches. 7 TD's thrown on him in 2016 alone. If that's not a red flag I don't know what is...

looks electric thanks for sharing...little concerning how he held the ball on punt returns but that is something they can fix

Wouldn't mind him, but he certainly would be a corner and a return guy in the NFL. No Desean on offense or Chris Johnson.

I love the idea of Adoree at 28.

That kind of talent is worth the shot.

He may not be perfect, but none of these guys are. At least he'll contribute and make plays.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I don't have a big issue with Jackson as he has talent, but needs a lot of refinement.

This will be the first offseason he will have to dedicate to football so there is some upside.

I just cannot fully endorse him at 28. Just seems a little rich.

It is clear Deion Sanders loves loves him. Spent the entire Combine pimping him.

Says people who think you are getting a refined, immediate lock down CB at 28. Even in a draft this strong, the odds of you getting an immediate difference make at CB (or at DE for that matter) arent good. People expect too much out of draft picks.

Adoree would be able to contribute immediately in subpackages, and would probably be one of our top 2 CB's by 2018 if not our best

If by refined you mean that he stumbles and falls down due to poor footwork on the release most games I agree with you.

Last time we heard a guy was supposed to be like deion it wasn't bueno. Huge bust and a waste of 2 picks. Wasn't a quarter of what deion was. One of the worst picks in Dallas history.

But it would be a blessing if Cowboys somehow ends up with Jabrill Peppers, Adoree Jackson, DeMarcus Walker, D'onta Foreman and/or Donnell Pumphrey, and Dede Westbrook, who I might add wants to be a Cowboy that would be the perfect draft.

That would be an all elite athlete draft for sure.
Swap out DE Barnett in the first for Peppers and I'd take it

The problem with 28 is there are about 20-22 top guys and then the next tier is about 30 guys deep. Adoree is in that second tier so it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he's the guy we pick. I think he's more of a second round guy but 28 is practically a second round pick with an extra year of team control.

Like Adoree at 28, though he is projected a round later, in fact on a lot of charts around the 60th best pick overall, but I say Jackson is a natural and someone will pick him early in round 2 at the latest.

Still, Dallas has to take the pass rusher @28.

Several reports in the past have indicated that the Cowboys don't like to draft CBs that are under 5-11.

He will be listed as 5096 on teams draft reports, not as 5110.

Yeah we have a "prototype", but he's a game changer. I bet year 1 he'd have more INT's than Carr/Claiborne combined the last 3 years, and more punt returns for TD's than we've had in the last few years combined as well.

He's also much better in zone than people want to give him credit for. I don't know where this "utility" stuff comes in, the guy can play and he still has a lot to learn.

You can't teach speed and naturally playing the ball instincts like he has, imo. I just get the feeling he's one of these guys you're going to see making highlights all over ESPN and we're going to regret not taking him. He's electric.

Thinking back in my mind of this really good NFL corner that was actually 5'9, Green and one other comes to mind..

So size is the negative...

Antoine Winfield played like 10+ years at 5'9.

Adoree is basically 5'10. Grimes, Harris Jr, Jenkins, others 5'10. Once you get to 5'11 you have basically half the best CB's the last 10 years.

Not too worried about that.
