OPINION: Bobby Knight is the source

Jenny from ESPN103.3 just stated that the source is from Lubbock, Texas. She then asked who do you believe lives in Lubbock, Texas?
The answer is (BOBBY KNIGHT!) Long story short, Bobby Knight is the source that everybody’s looking for. It was him that was told the deal is sealed by Bill Parcells. Knight then contacted the local paper and made the comment!
It's a done deal!!

It is a done deal. I think alot of people know about it. The leaks just lack anyone putting a name behind it.

I highly doubt this. I live in lubbock and read and see a lot on coach night. he is not the kind of person that breaks stories to the media. in fact he hates the media, and they do not care much for him either. i'm willing to bet anything this is not true.

JFE is just speculating and trying to put 2 and 2 together. I doubt its that high profile and doesn't seem like Knight's style.

Jerry probably has a whole team of CPA's and lawyers who have to write these legal binding contracts. I bet the guy in Lubbock who reported it probably has a college buddy or something inside the Cowboys who's working on it.

I didn't call anyone a liar, I'm listening to the same program right now. it sounded to me like she was speculating, and trying to be halfway funny. It no way was she reporting this as a fact as posted in this thread. maybe she's right. but I highly doubt it. I feel a know Coach Knight a little bit better than she does. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Not a specialist, But:

Coach Knight is big hear. he's Lubbock's biggest celebrity. he's on the news almost every night and in the paper almost every morning. however in do not know him on a personal basis we have spoke before. Coach is a very intimidating person and not the kind of guy you just go up to and talk to. at my old job I used to come in contact with him on a weekly basis, now I see him around town about once a month (Grocery store, movie theater). last week we even sat next to each other at lunch, given he was sitting at the table next to me. :laugh2:

FYI, If you live here, you don't call him Bobby, It's Mr. Knight, or Coach Knight. The last kid that called him Bobby got choked. (Indiana)
