The "early buzz in league circles" is that free agent Joey Porter will be pursued by the Cardinals and Bengals, according to Profootballtalk..

Porter knows much of the coaching staff in Arizona, and the Cards love to use multiple fronts on defense. The Bengals use the 4-3, but just cut veteran LB Brian Simmons to clear cap space. We'd think the Jets, Dallas, and New England could also show interest.

That's not really a rumor at all -- that's a "we think Dallas might give him a look too" speculation

You're right but so is he.

We call those two words in the same sentence an oxymoron. The term could would not refer to a rumor. For it to be a rumor, it would need to say, "It's rumored the Cowboys are intrested in Joey Porter."

I think it's without a doubt the the Cowboys have interest in a player like Porter, the question is how much ($$$) interest to they actually have.

QESTION: Do we really want a ex-steeler on our team?

If it brings us a Super Bowl....then I am ok with it.

Maybe we could bring in O'Donnell and Kevin Smith and dump Romo and TO.

I would rather have Tommy Maddux (from LD Bell High School) and Slash (Cordell Stewart) :p:

It all make sense. Because Jerry Jones didn't draft him and now it's a opportunity with much needed cap space to get players like this. I say with our cap space we could get 4 Big FA and that's all we really need with the draft coming up.

Joey Porter

Leonard Davis

Carlos Polk Or Randal Godfrey

Nate Clements or Kasishavan

I don't think Dallas will be that active in FA and I expect at least 1 FA move will be for a vet QB

I suspect they will sign a free agent. I just don't expect it to be a big name unless that name is Davis.

He plays the same spot as ware...tough to fit him in. Obviously he could play the other side, but why spend the money.

I would expect 2 to 3 FA signed but when I see list of 4 or 5 FA I think that is pushing it.
