I hope they dont bring back murray at 8m id rather have spiller at 4m to go with ryan williams and randle then resign mclain or carter to go with lee, hitchens. Then draft for defensive needs as well as back ups.

Nick Fairley hope not, can't stay healthy and was only okay playing next to Suh
Kendrick Ellis does not fit the defense imo
Vance Walker I would be interested bringing in Walker to replace Hayden, but I don't think he's that much better and the staff like Hayden
Randy Starks I would go after him as a replacement for Hayden, but I get the feeling the coaching staff wants Hayden back
CJ Mosley I'd pass, some similar reasons as Fairley, plus not a RKG
DE
Derrick Morgan I would for the right price, but don't expect him to far exceed his usual 6 sacks or so
Greg Hardy Even with his off field issues, I don't think his price will fall to a range I'd want to pay.
Jabaal Sheard I would be willing to spend on Sheard
Adrian Clayborn I would for the right price
Brian Orakpo Can't stay healthy and is over rated
Sam Acho No
Anthony Spencer Depth signing only. Ideally I would like Mincey and Lawrence at RDE. And a free agent, Spencer and a rookie taken high at LDE.
CB
Antonio Cromartie On verge of signing with Cards or Jets imo, so I don't really have much of an opinion
Tramon Williams Turns 32 in less than a week, best football is behind him, I'd pass
Brandon Browner These Seattle CBs are getting paid big money so I'd pass (yes I know he played with NE last year)
Chris Culliver If his price was reasonable, sure, but no dying interest
Perrish Cox See Culiver
Patrick Robinson See Cox
Charles Tillman At 34, I'd say no
Sterling Moore If close to a minimum contract, yea

LB
Rolando McClain/Bruce Carter I think we should resign either McClain or Carter. McClain brings a physical presence to our defense, but has trouble staying healthy and his commitment to football will always be questioned. Carter brings more play making ability, but the same questions surround Carter. I would not break the bank for either, but would like to see one resigned.
Brandon Spikes Would be a nice fall back option if we lose both McClain and Carter. Strictly a down player, but that is ok with me, assuming we pay him as such.
Nate Irving Not really unless it's a short term show me deal. Hasn't shown much at this point
Geno Hayes Not really, same age as Spikes, but has played 2 more seasons. So I question how much he has left, and is only ok. More of a depth signing imo
Mason Foster For the right price, yes, but depending on the moves we make, may rather draft someone
Lance Briggs At his age, no, unless it is depth

I'll step out on a limb and say if we can get Tillman for a one year vet minimum, it may help someone already here.
Tillman could mentor Claiborne and show him the ropes in this defense.... of course, this is assuming he is fully recovered from injury.

Huh? Have you seen the actual list... Not even close. Don't know why I even waste my time and put these things together sometimes

Maybe you could title this something like "guys I think should be on the Cowboys radar" -- otherwise it sounds like the post is based on some sort of actual knowledge

Word is we have some interest in Patrick Robinson.

Former first rounder does fit our MO
