LVE was done, the day he got his vertebrae fused, especially in light of the history of his injuries. He was playing like hot garbage before the latest injury, which wasn’t his fault because of the nature of his injury, and he was complete garbage last night, which wasn’t his fault because of the nature of his injury. One only had to visualize a bike change with two of the chains fused together and how it operates over the crankset with this problem, but with LVE you are talking about a smaller area of the neck which is composed of seven vertebrae in the cervical area and that too, the muscles of the scapula are attached to, meaning it completely impacts and shoulder movement, let alone the ability for the neck to move laterally, plus he’s supposed to tackle people leading with his head.

It’s completely over. Dallas needs to move on.

"leading with your head"...this isn't 1950...nobody at any level of football is coached to lead with the head...

The good news is LVE did not injured during the game. You have to give some time to get him up to speed. On the first 3 series for Arizona VanJaylon looked ok.

Great post.

I've had 4 cervical surgeries and only have one disc left in my neck. Also left me with permanent nerve damage. I've never once had any pain in my neck, even before the first surgery. My pain has always been in my shoulder and because of the nerve damage it's constant now.

Obviously I'm not in the shape of LVE but I've had some of the best neurosurgeons operate on me. I just don't see how he could take that kind of impact for any length of time and not be impacted. He honestly should retire before he really is hurt. I don't know what all he's had done, but it's certainly not worth the chances he's taking. And it's too bad because he seems like a good kid.

Manning as a QB lost complete arm strength in a matter of two years and he wasn’t playing LB. There is ZERO precedent for any player that returned to even a mediocre of what they once were.

Did you just say you need to lead with your head? No. Lead with your shoulder, wrap your arms and drive with your legs. This is taught in high school...

Which is worse the LBs or the Safeties.

Ha, trick question, they both are trash.

Do you guys really have to be anal all the time, latching on to hyperbole? Do you think that LVE isn’t going hit his head tackling, despite “leading with the shoulder, wrapping arms and driving with the legs”? Just stop with the analogy. You know exactly what my point was..
