Don't know if anybody has mentioned this, and I know everyone has a take on Roy so here's mine. I think HE wants out of Dallas. It may be that his reported thin skin is pushing him to be playing somewhere that players are not quite so scrutinized by the fans and media. Maybe the interviews, the "this defense doesn't fit me" comments are really a "get me the $%*# outta here". JMO. Flame on.

I highly doubt it. He grew up a fan, has always been thrilled to be here and has built roots.

I don't think he handles criticism well and a teammate sort of threw him under the bus. Beyond that it's not really as big an issue as the articles and fans make it out to be.

JMO.

I think his comments are just a continued effort to deflect criticism and make excuses for his poor play. There is nowhere else that he would be able to make even a third of what he's making here.
Besides the comments to Greg Ellis happened last year in Training camp.

I think his interest in the game itself isn't what it once was - that is pure speculation on my part, admittedly but it is my opinion FWIW.

My sources tell me I am correct.

I'm not trying to make excuses but I think the ample fines he has had to pay for some of his big hits and his shoulder could be a reason we are not seeing the same big hitter that we have in years past. Roy is not going to be top cover man he made his name as a head hunter.

It's one thing not to be making the big hits, but he is missing a lot of tackles and Roy used to be one of the surest taclkers that we have ever had

I understand as I said I'm not sure if his shoulder is an issue which could cause a guy to be reluctant to come up and make a solid hit. Again I'm not making excuses because I expect better out of Roy.

I really hope being back with Campo can reinvigorate his career because unlike some I have not given up on Roy I think he can once again be the intimidating factor in the secondary.

I've not given up on Roy yet, either. I do believe some of the expectations of him are too high. His 1st two years w/Woody behind him spoiled many of us. Seems to me we drafted a SS/LB hybrid who played around the LOS and in that capacity was devestating. We now want/expect a hard hitting FS/CB who can cover, which was never his MO. Not to mention what you stated earlier. The guy may be a little gun shy. His hits and tackling have caught him fines, suspension, and a rule with his name on it.

JMO.

Had no idea about him growing up a fan. Thanks for the info
